I think pubs in the U K are more female friendly than in Australia if films and TV are any indication.

Oh Daphne

Didn't know we had a star in our midst.
Sandie the singer. Now she never told us that before.

I am more refined Jackie, these days: Drink at home.lol
Always went down the pub with hubby and friends on a Friday before we had the kids, pre karaoke, in our pub anyway, never used to sing or be rowdy.
The only time we used to sing was Xmas eve when the Sally Army came in with their band ( we were like sardines in a tin then ) and we'd all sing carols.

They are now but when my Dad had his Pub you didn't see a lot of females in there. Saturday night maybe but not much any other time. Females were never allowed in the Public Bar. Even my Mum and I could not serve on a Sunday in there it was for the men only Sunday Morning

Jack
I can vaguely remember the name of that brewery, on a Whitsun Monday all my mother's side of the family used to go to Cyfartha Castle at Merthyr where they held a huge fete in the grounds,; Motor scrambling, dog shows, horticultural event, fairs, real circus acts etc and I remember my uncle fetching drinks from the beer tent on a tray that bared the name of that brewery; Don't think they are around now. That would have been in the 60's.

I love Google this is the one I was singing that some of the guys taught me

Wlad fy Nhadau
(Land Of My Fathers)

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn anwyl i mi
Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri
Ei gwrol rhyfelwyr, gwlad garwyr tra mad
Tros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.

Cytgan:
Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad
Tra mor yn fur
I'r bur hoff bau
O bydded i'r heniaith barhau.

Hen Gymru fynyddig, paradwys y bardd
Pob dyffryn, pob clogwyn, i'm golwg sydd hardd
Trwy deimlad gwladgarol, mor swynol yw si
Ei nentydd, afonydd, i mi.

Cytgan:

Os treisiodd y gelyn fy ngwlad dan ei droed
Mae hen iaith y Cymry mor fyw ag erioed
Ni luddiwyd yr awen gan erchyll law brad
Na thelyn berseiniol fy ngwlad.
