We had trouble in a rented place with a tree like that it used to drop 5 meter branches big enough to kill people when it was windy and the landlord wouldn't pay to have it cut down so we had to go to the council.

Yes these branches are huge Daphne and it frightens me. Especially when the Grandchildren come and are playing outside. It also blocks a lot of the Winter sun and makes the house dark. This tree must be 100 feet tall and is much to high for Keith to reach. He got some branches but I won;t allow him to climb any more. In winter we get the heavy Westerlies off the Ocean and the Tree just creaks and sways it is rather scary

No Daphne lol, not a raging conservationist. !
He keeps the shrubs and hedges under control. tho the Laurel has gone out of my control, too high ! We have a large garden back and front and he likes to keep it neat :)
My neighbours have 30 ft conifers, which I hate. I get my son to lop anything hanging over our side, but the bl**dY laurel, which is about 6ft wide prevents him getting at some of the top branches.
After nagging last yr neighbour did take off 10 foot of his conifers, he realised that at 5pm in the evening his patio, as mine was, was also in the shade !!!

Looks like Sandie's O H has dragged her back in the garden..
