Hi All

In the words of Gary Glitter - I'm back

The return from London was a bit delayed as my daughter managed to poison herself with food - not just any food, but oysters.....

Anyway, before I tackle Sandie's quiz, here we go with what's left of my clue

If E in the United States L up in S F, the L W S a the E a 7 T

(see, I've added a bit of a clue for you)

SF is not San Francisco, San Fernando or even Santa Fe

Right, Sandie

1 5 P of I T
2 10 is 2 in B - 10 is 2 in Binary
3 X 360
4 800x600 S R
5 A B and the 40 T - Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves
6 6 Z in a M
7 22 P on a F F- 22 players on a football field
8 54 S on a R C
9 21 D on a S D
10 4 W in a M - 4 weeks in a month
11 The 9 M
12 12 D of J
13 The D to A C is A 4 L Y
14 121 S on a C C B
15 9/11 A
16 J has 62 M - Jupiter has 62 moons
17 4 L on a T
18 2 B on a P of S

Hope Sue's having a good time, whatever she's up to!

Work again today for me - a class I haven't worked with recently. I know all the kids but not the classroom routines so a lot of learning was done - by me!

I know when I was on this thread before, I would be on my own for my day and then you lot would all go mad while I was asleep and then I would come back in the morning and ........... wait for it....... solve it. LOL
I always felt it was useless me putting anything up because of the timing difference.
Now I don't mind as it is more of a timing lapse which goes on for days and days.

At one time you had to read several pages of posts a day - and if you were away for a few days, you felt you would never catch up!

Didn't used to be Perse, especially when Jackie from Oz and Daphne were around, and a few others.

Think we'll send a search party out for Sue :).............Sandiex

I'm glad I retired early.... way off my pension yet but don't care! .. not on the breadline yet !
Liz and Perse, both your suggestions for SF sound good ,so I won't repeat them.

International Events in the United States L up in S F, the L W S a the E a 7 T..?

Hi folks

I do wish I'd been in Spain, but unfortunately not.... I've had a couple of really hectic weeks at work, and have had dinners/meetings/other rubbish most nights.

Anyway, I'm just back from yet another black tie thingy, and am going to unwind for a few minutes before I need to catch a few hours kip.

Here we go with my clue. (btw, sorry about the small letter "i" straight after the "E" - but it didn't seem to get in your way!

I E in the United States L up in S F, the L W S a the E a 7 T

The first letter is a capital i.

I'm off to London tomorrow and won't be back until Tuesday. I've got no late nights next week, so hopefully see you then!

(here's hoping things go well, Sandie) xxx

Where does that woman disappear to, she has left the brain teaser thread stranded as well.

Sorry, misunderstood you. Glad you're not worrying.

Spain sounds a good place to be - probably a lot warmer than it is here today. I'm sure it was trying to snow as I drove into town first thing this morning.

No haven't the result of this mammogram, the first one was clear after a recall, the recall was scary, but strangely I'm not worrying about this one, tho I can worry for Wales .lol
Sue may have gone to Spain, I hope she's OK.
Glad you're OK :)

Hi, Sandie.
Good news about your blood pressure, and clear mammogram. I may be called for one soon - just getting to the age of call up!
All fine with me, busy as usual but enjoying myself. Work is good - tiring, but I love it.
Sue must be in hiding for some reason.
Liz
