Is ' me old mucker' a Northern term ? Not heard around here :)
Kiddo' is a local term but may be used elsewhere.

F S S W I was /were /when 17 it was a Very Good Year - W won Rugby in 1966..?

Fat chance it was Wales winning Rugby in that yr.. Rugby isn't the right answer anyway !

Hi Sue,

Sorry for delay in replying... kicked off my puter , now on hubby's lappy.
So exscuse any spelling / typo mistakes , this doesn't pick them up !!

Clue.. to do with food and it's suply (?) and I suppose the E , if not in the past tense ( which it is in this ) could be a small 'e '

Sandie.x

Oye.. less of the m'dear makes me sound like a crinkley.lol

Hi Sandie

Any chance of another clue, m'dear?

I found out that Radio Free Europe broadcast during WW2, so I thought I could be on to something, but obviously not....

All the best

Hi Sue ~~~ and anyone else looking in :)

Quite a few there Sue☺☺

1954 was a good year .....R F E in Great Britain , West Germany won the World Cup in Switzerland , Marilyn Monroe Married Joe Di-Maggio, and Roger Banister ran the First Sub 4 Minute Mile.

The R F E relates to something that went on in WW2 and then stopped.

Edit.. Gosh they aren't really troubles Sue, just pains in the ar**.
But in the case of my hand, yes it is a pain in the elbow and hand in the mornings. Elbow is fine now and hand is just tingling . No probs with my eye's what so ever, was surprised when they said I had a cataract at my age . lolol..know yours too.

Hi All

Sorry to hear about all your troubles, Sandie. I'm just back from a happy-birthday-to-me-last-week meal with a few friends who weren't around last Saturday. I'm now stuffed. I just had to have that dessert....

Anyway, back to the task in hand

1954 was a good year .....Radio Free Europe in Great Britain , West Germany won the World Cup in Switzerland , Marilyn Monroe Married Joe Di-Maggio, and Roger Banister ran the First Sub 4 Minute Mile.

Not sure about the radio free Europe, Sandie - have I got this right?

Well I'm bushed and off to bed .lol

Clue.. the first 2 Ms and the following J D-M are peeps names, and R F Ehas a connection with WW2.

Must try and keep my right arm straight in bed to night, apparently it lessens the pain.. easier said than done as I usually sleep on my left side with both arms bent at the elbow and tucked under my pillow!!
Nite all

Hi all~~

Sorry not to reply earlier Liz, we've been out all day and then late having evening meal.
Dr told me on Monday I have an Entrapped Ulnar nerve in my right wrist or elbow and may need surgery , so referring me to an Ortopaedic Neurologist. My little and fourth fingers and outside of my right hand tingle constantly and the pain wakes me up at night:(
Today the optician said i have a small cataract on my right eye, which is not uncommon for peeps over 45 who have a history of it in the family ; my nan had 2 removed many many yrs ago;
So I've been doing a bit of research on the net about both, it's no substitute for discussing it with my GP and Optician, who I will be seeing again next week as I didn't ask many questions when told as I was a bit taken aback:) .....I'll be fore armed next week !

Yes quite a few words there Liz:)☺☺

Sue put a gap between the i and the n for 'in' after the World Cup, she meant ' in ' obviously and I C & P'd her answer, so you're not looking for a small ' n '.lol
