I think it's possible that the younger marriages (unless you have more specific age details) are a cousin or uncle, not the same John...it seems from family search to be quite a common name in the area. |

I have found a similar problem with my family. I have quite a lot of records for 'John North' and am still unravelling which is which! I have definitely found at least four individuals who were cousins/nephews/uncles, all around at the same time. Families were large in the eighteenth/nineteenth centuries and it is quite common for there to be 20yrs between youngest and oldest. I also have three siblings named John in one family, the youngest two unfortunately dying in infancy. i would keep researching and hopefully you will be able to separate out the individuals. |

Hi Rose, I have just replied to your message, it looks to me like the details came from an unsourced tree on Ancestry, so I will have a look at other records . |
