My sisters name is Clara her mums name is Hidi Aru which is a common surname in Sardinia which is were Hidis family are from. There is a possability that they moved back to Sardinia Italy. There is a possabilty that Hidi was born in Amsterdam. Clara was born in Amsterdam in approx 1977/78 not sure which month. Any help would be fantastic. Thank you |

Have a look at http://www.gahetna.nl/en which is the website of the Friends of the Nationaal Archief (the Dutch National Archives). It is available in English and Dutch and has useful tips on searching for Dutch ancestors. Obviously, original records will be in Dutch but it is a good website to start you off. |

Thank you +++DetEcTive+++ as soon as I have the relevant information I shall add it to this post and thank you for the link. I am positivley itching to find out her name and beggin my search :-) One thing I do know is that she was born sometime between 1977 and 1979. :-) |

Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I found out yesterday that I have a half sister in Holland somewhere. Can anyone tell me how I would go about tracing her. I am waiting for a letter containing her name from my father whom I have only just found thanks to the help of some wonderfull people on GR. Any help and advice would be amazing. Thank you <3 |
