Hi Richard, I am also looking for info on my ancestors who i believe are alexander and harriet dunlap. I have inherited a ring and believe it may belong to matilda dunlap (daughter of alexander and harriet) who married Henry Hawthorn. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Census 1841.

It looks like 2 households both living at No 17, the Bell household, and the one with Jane Carey and the Dunlops. The address is the same as for the baptism of daur Harriet Dunlap that I posted earlier.

His father was also Alexander Dunlap, Gunmaker.

The groom is recorded as Alexander Dunlap junior.

Her Father was Joseph Davis stay maker.

Witnesses were Thomas Dunlap, Ann Davis and Mary Ann Dunlap.

Bride and groom both give their address as Gilbert Street

He was admitted to the workhouse on Feb 22nd. No details recorded of the burial.
