There was a Gregg College in Southampton @ Grosvenor Square, Southampton SO15 2BE. It became a British Listed Building in 1954 so assume the building is still there. Cannot find any info about the school though.

If it was this school, more likely to have been working there in some capacity, not studying.

Have you tried contacting the college (if still there) to see if they have year books available? that might give you a chance to confirm the exact name?

Is there anyone who knows anything about a man named ? Ackee Shackleton who once lived in Southampton during 1940's. Possbly from Deep South America or the Caribbean. He or a friend of his may have been known as O'Connor. Other possibilities is that he or they came over to England at the time to study at ? Gregs College in Southampton during 1940's likely to be just after WW2. :-S
