Interesting!

It's worth mentioning that the parish church based in Erith is included in this collection. The records were stored in an outhouse while renovations took place. That caught fire and the vicar at the time did his best to transcribe them into new registers.

Just a thought. One of the 'Crays' - would need to check which one - had a number of their PR stolen shortly after WW2. The Bexley Archivists suggested the vellum was sold on to make parchment lampshades which were popular at the time.

They were lucky that a local HS had made transcriptions shortly prior to the theft, but of course we all know that a transcript is one persons interpretation.

I have the death certificates for the people I am interested in. I just hoped that the cemetery lists might show something.
