Well, I think you'd find it hard to argue with the documental evidence - that baptism in same location, same church, same parents as Beatrice Florence's , born within a year of the parents' marriage in the same area.
Also the 1911 Scottish census.
Right grandparents, Robert and Margaret, living in BELLSIDE, SHOTTS, right parents, Jessie and Robert, right age and names for siblings, Beatrice and William.
Also aunts Helen, Lizzie and Jeanie tie in with the 1891 census for the Bruce family that Maddie posted, and the age of grandparents Robert and Margaret are also a reasonable match for the 1891 census
The 1911 census states Jessie had 3 children born from her 8 yr old marriage, all still living at the time of the census
From what you said, the bible was not overly informative about birthdates for the other four children etc , so maybe this is another oversight?
Does the bible list the 13 children born to Robert and Margaret?
Did Robert die young, or did he turn out to be the black sheep of the family, never to be mentioned?
Is there a story to be discovered here?
EDIT: Now I've got a proper look at the 1911 census in Scotland, Jessie is born Cornwall, which tallies with the travel info posted earlier, little Robert and Beatrice are born Devon, William is born Cornwall. Jessie's husband Robert is a naval engineer, born Lanark, Cleland. Old Robert is a wine merchant, born Lanark, Dalserf, as was wife Margaret and daurs Helen and Lizzie. Jeanie, like Robert, was born Lanark, Cleland.

Entering the details into my Ancestry I've found that according to this "travelling with Robert Bruce an engineer aged 47 his wife Jessie aged 33" that would make her DOB 1896, her marriage to Robert is stated as 1902 and 2 of the children being before child bearing age!!! Any idea's please.
