Do you have this?

NEILSON _ Vera M. Passed away peacefully on June 16, 2007 at the Royal
Columbian Hospital, New Westminster. Vera was born on November 7, 1921 to
Wilbur and Mary Beamish. She grew up on a Shoal Lake, Manitoba farm with
three dear sisters: Vivian Sundell, Cynthia Scurfield and Doreen Langdon.
Always wanting to be a nurse, she became an R.N. at the Winnipeg General
Hospital. During the last years of WWII, she nursed at Deer Lodge, a
military convalescent hospital in Winnipeg. She moved to BC in 1947 to work
at the Royal Columbian Hospital. In 1954 Vera married Dr. Thomas Neilson,
who passed away in 1998. She was an awesome mom to her surviving children:
Stuart, New Westminster; Scott (Valerie), Nanaimo; and Sharon (Dan
Sundvick), Langley. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Brad, David and
Ted Neilson; and Joshua and Kristen Sundvick. Vera golfed regularly at the
Vancouver Golf Club, after joining in 1951. As an avid bridge player, she
enjoyed regular games with her friends. In addition to driving and
spectating, she volunteered as treasurer for Little League Baseball, Babe
Ruth Baseball and the Whistler Mountain Ski Club to further support her
children's activities. She was always a voracious reader with regular trips
to the New Westminster Public Library. A special thanks to Dr. Linda Curtis
and the staff at the Royal Columbian Hospital and the Queen's Park Care
Center, who cared for her. A memorial service will be held at Queen's Avenue
United Church, 529 Queen's Avenue, New Westminster (corner of Queen's Avenue
and 6th Street) at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2007. A reception will
follow at the Vancouver Golf Club, 771 Austin Ave., Coquitlam.
