Firstly, married John Standley in 1716 and then Michael Bonnington in 1731. I am trying to find Elizabeth's parents if anyone can help shed some light on this. Many thanks, Jeryl

IF she was born in the general area then there is this possible baptism - found on the free to use site https://familysearch.org Elizabeth Porter England Births and Christenings Name Elizabeth Porter Gender Female Christening Date 1691 Christening Place DERBY, ST.ALKMUND, DERBY, ENGLAND Father's Name Thomas Porter Duffield is about 6 miles from Derby and Breadsall lies between the two

She then went on to marry Michael Bonnington with the surname being spelt Stanley in 1731. I will look at Thomas Porter though I think her father may have been Joseph

	It is very rare to find mother's name mentioned on any baptism records back then

If you click on the url posted by malyon you will see where she has got the information from. There is similar information on Ancestry. However I ask again, why do you think that her Father is Joseph? safc posted a baptism of an Elizabeth in Breadsall 1695, Father Thomas (click on her url for that). Do you have some specific information? How do you know she was born 1696. Trees, particularly on Ancestry, have a habit of being copied one from the other and often have the wrong information to start with. It's not uncommon to find granny born after grandson etc. Be careful and don't jump just because you think something fits !! It's very difficult to be sure when you are going back that far.

Meantimes, this should get you straight through http://www.freereg.org.uk/search_queries/589f66ce33045b9e0eb84277 There is also the marriage of Elizabeth (probably the one bap.1695 the daughter of Thomas posted above) in 1716.
