If the birth and death information you have obtained is from the GRO index, you need to be aware that the place given is the registration district of the event. The actual place may be some miles away. |

Welcome to the board Geoffrey. In most cases you will have to purchase the certificate ( from the GRO using the ref numbers) to find the exact date. Though depending where and when you might find a baptism record that also gives date of birth. Or you may find a death record that also gives date of birth , |

I have traced deaths and births but do not know how to whittle this down to the month and specific date by looking at the records online. Can someone shed some light on how to do this as at the top of most "pages" it states 3 different months |
