It used to be possible, certainly on FMP to search by address rather than name, ie; stick in the name of a village for the 1881 census for example and it would return a result for every address within that village, it doesn't seem that can be done anymore, or can it ?!?

Researching:
Siggs of Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex and West London, Wise of North Hampshire, Wiltshire and North London and Aubrey/Whiting of South Wales/Herefordshire.

Don't think so on Ancestry but you can on FMP but it's a bit long winded

Not sure if I'm understanding correctly, but I've just looked on Ancestry at 1871 and 1881 census putting nothing in the search criteria except for the village name.

All people living in the village were shown, with option to view their census images as I normally do.

I've always been able to search on both sites by location - just enter the name of the town/village and click 'search'

I've just searched for 'Gotherington' in 1881 - 388 results
