It's unlikely that anyone with those names/areas will just happen by this thread.

There are a couple of possible marriages show up - 1839 Sheffield RD and 1928 Burnley RD with Bullas as the male.

From the 1928 marriage the same free site shows 4 births and possible marriages of 3 of those children etc (but see 1939 register post below)

As only eldest child Mary shows up with the family, where are the other children? It's also possible that they had died (see freebmd records too - and below)

Mary is listed as Shackleton as the1939 register was updated until about 1990. It had become the basis for the NHS system after first being set up to list everyone in the country (apart from Military personnel) to issue ID cards, ration cards etc.

So Mary married a Shackleton and as her name is open to see on the register, she is subsequently known to have died. (there is a 100 year closure on the records)

thank you everyone this is my family so my gran mother was the only child that survived mary Hannah bullas married my grandad Shackleton

It looks likely she was the only child to survive, but the only way to be absolutely sure would be to buy the death certificates. (There are marriages in all the names except Gladys)

The 1939 register shows John's dob as 3 Nov. 1903 whilst the baptism record says he was born 3 Nov. 1902. It''s fairly common for a birth year to be "out" on the 1939 reg.

The baptism also shows his parents to be Charles and Catherine nee Nolan (although the record has the Latin versions, so probably an RC baptism)

So I would think that this is John's birth record from the GRO site (mmn show pre 1912 whereas other sites don't show them)
