Hi need help finding out year My Grand dad (John Joseph Lynch 1886) have came over from Ireland to Liverpool to live I know he was in Liverpool in1908 but would like to know when he came over .

There are no records anywhere of travel between the two countries.

Is this him in 1911 in Liverpool?

Not with family unfortunately, but at least a birthplace shown as opposed to the usual "Ireland"

How do you know what year he was born

Do you know his parents names? If he married his Father's name and occupation should be on the certificate if he knew him.

Only John Lynch's show born in Co. Cavan 1884 -1888 on results page for civil registrations (no middle names are shown on results)
None show as John Joseph on originals, but If he was RC in particular then the second name could have been added at baptism

There are 2 John Lynch and 1 John Joseph Lynch in Liverpool in 1901 but all said to be born Liverpool

Who/when/where did he marry?

Not that any of those details will help with finding when he travelled. That info simply is not available

As ErikaH says, there were no records of travel between Ireland and England, but finding him in 1901 c age 14/15 may help narrow down the time frame for you.

What are all the details from the 1910 marriage certificate

If you have his birth certificate, what are the details from that

If he can be found in the 1901 census at age c15 then more clues might help.

Did he come to England with family,

There is only one marriage for John J Lynch in Liverpool area anywhere near 1910

The marriage I posted didn’t take place until after the 1911 census - see the note above the info

I know - the Margaret in 1911 census is just a coincidence
I posted it because of John's YOB and occupation, and the child's name.

It's not this marriage, either:

The snag is - the man who married in 1911 and was father to the nine children is on 1939 census with a DOB of 18/12/1879. He is incapacitated
