Forever grateful for all your help in checking info and clearing up my confusion.
I had a Cyril P Bragg and wrongly thought it was Cyril Penrose, when it was more likely to have been Cyril Pretoria Bragg. I do know the descendants of my Cyril P Bragg/Gladys Godden moved to Medway, Kent and have since found a death record of Cyril Pretoria Bragg, 1975 - Chatham, so perhaps all the family moved there.
Thank you so much. :-)

So which of the BRAGG families are you actually related to?

All of this is for a friend, who has no information about their family.
Mother was the Alice Love (adopted) that you all helped with me earlier. Friend's father was Douglas H Bragg mentioned above, who forbade his children from having anything to do with his family and they were never spoken about.
Thank you again for the additional info above. It is something that I can pass to my friend.

Always work backwards - less risk of making mistakes ;-) ;-)

Worked back to Cyril P Bragg with no problem. As friend thought there was an East London connection, I went in the wrong direction with Cyril Penrose.
Lesson learnt, never assume!
Many thanks.

Think we have all gone down the wrong track sometimes
I know I have especially in the early days of my hobby
Bought certs too that turned out to be incorrect so were costly mistakes but at least eliminated the wrong path
Even now have looked at records and gone with them for a while to think hang on that can’t be correct
To me it’s what makes genealogy so interesting
Carry on sleuthing lol :-D
