born 1929/30 can find him on 2 census records1851 and 1861 and a marriage certificate of 1854 but cannot find anything else
it list him as being born st helen lancashire but nothing exists on parish records
i have found him on one members (sue burrows) family tree ,despite requesting if i can see her family tree i have had no replies
i am really trying to find his birth record

the problem i have with his baptism record is the date 1817, on both census forms he records his age in 1851as 21 and 1861 as 32,
also his name changes to garbage

His age on the census could be wrong

Look at the name of the woman Pigot married in 1825 - or at least the Banns were read

I know Garbet features a few times and its the route i am going down but not having much luck with tracing Jane

The census used to be taken on different dates. So it could just be mathematics or even give you a clue as to when his birthday was.
Try with this with your own dates. TAke your age away from 2021 - you might just appear be a year out.

Erika there would be a difference of 10 years between two census. I understood the query as to why in one census he was 21 and 10 years later he was 32.

I’ve recently had a birthday so the maths works out. If I was a few months younger the maths can look a bit off.
