Val, back in 2006 you said,
"It appears she was not buried where she would have expected to be for personal reasons."
Do the personal reasons give any clue as to where she might have been buried?

Have you tried the parks and cemeteries dept of the local council giving details of her death and home address
It’s possibly too she may have been cremated but crematoriums are also council run so they should be able to tell you

I found Ealing council (cemeteries) very helpful some years ago. Have you tried sites like deceased on line - they have so many more records nowadays.
Some of my Lambeth relatives were buried in Nunhead cemetery.

Believe it or not still looking for her, shame as her son died a few weeks ago without knowing where she was. No Coroners report, as paper was short during the war and it got re-used.

With the war four months old it would not have made the front pages, but you should be able to find something. The Times gives only a passing reference. The library should be able to tell you where to find the coroner's report.

Got it. December 4th 1939. Without doubt there would have been a coroner's inquest, so that should be your task - to get hold of the report. As this would have been held within the vicinity of the place of death, you'll need to find out where it's held.
According to the Times, she fell between the platform and the runningboard of a Waterloo to Portsmouth train.
