She had a hard life. Lost her first baby girl soon after birth( I didn't know this before GR) She lost her eldest son to TB at 18.

She lost my Granddad in his early 60s.
This had a great affect on her personality.


She lost her youngest daughter to cancer at only 42.
My Dad a few months later in 1976 in the fire at our home.

Only 2 daughters outlived her.

Yes Ann, it was a very hard time, as I was only 18, and we lost our home too. My Dad had brought us up (my brother and I) as a single parent.
