We were beaten on the final question in the in the pub quiz last night; all the name calling because I didn't know what Armageddon was. I mean, it's not like it's the end of the world is it?

OH always gets angry when I mess with her red wine, so I put fruit and lemonade in it and now she's sangria than ever!

Good to have the bland thread "back" Allan

Maybe your sparkling outfit wasn't bland enough to win.

My grandad had the heart of a lion, and a lifetime ban from Chester zoo :-D :-D

The Boards were becoming too serious again ;-)

Besides, my mystery illness seems to have resolved, even though I am now recovering from a (reality) cold! :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 4 Jun 2017 01:37

A cold you say sir but could it be flu man or otherwise??

Allan

Allan Report 4 Jun 2017 01:52

Definitely a cold, Caroline, the first present OH has given me for years :-D :-D

By the way, lest anyone thinks that my comment about the Boards being too serious was making light of the unfolding tragic events in London, that post was made before I was aware of the news :-(

Let's hope it's not the gift that keeps on giving.

Anyone that even knows your name knows you were not making comment with regard London.

My wife left this morning so I've bought a motorbike and held a wild party with lots of women and booze.

I don't know what she'll say when she gets home from work.

...I'm waiting for Betty (cat) to remove herself from the 'Sainsbury's' bag for life, that she regards as her bed, so that I can move said bag, as it's in the way of my 4am pee dash.
Loo downstairs - cat in pathway of half-asleep dash to the loo before I completely wake up :-| I don't want to stand on her.

Betty also has a rather large box, (about 3ft x 2ft) on it's side, that is her 'other' bed.
It only takes up a large fraction of the small room.

I do have a sofa, comfy chair, 2 dining chairs and wicker chair with fake sheepskin covering in the room, all of which she has (occasionally) slept on.
But this week, it's the bl**dy bag I forgot to remove from the floor :-| :-| :-|

It's now officially winter here, Maggie, and our cat has taken to sleeping on either of the easy chairs, or the sofa, that gives him the best view of the fire.

Unfortunately, the suite id dark blue in colour, whilst the cat is ginger.

He does have a blanket to sleep on which we put on the furniture.

Needless to say that with a true cat's sheer bloody mindedness, he sleeps on any of the furniture not covered by the blanket :-| :-| :-D :-D
