Hi, Winifred, I have all the die cutting machines over the years , but got the e-bosser as I have problems turning handles, I love it , although its quite heavy I have it in one place so dont move it it is very easy to use and the instruction book is very good, I have not done as many cards now but I do do some die cuts and have no problem with them , go on you tube and put e-bosser in the search slot there are lots of videos about it and I am sure you will enjoy using , I find putting the smaller dies on the magnetic shim at the outer edges and I always use waxed papers, one thing is make sure the dies are the right way up shown in the book as serated edges, I managed to do it upside down and cut out the magnetic shape... :-D :-D :-D :-D but got some new magnetic sheets and all is well....If you like I will mail you some of my photos of the cards, so you can see what I have cut out... just send me your e-mail via p.m. I am sure Sallie will add some good ideas too.. the very best part is making sure there is enough room to let the plates go through mine is side on....and no turning handles ;-) ;-) hope this helps....
nice to meet you sorry I havent said it earlier its the mind you know ;-) ;-) ;-)

love Jean xx

Hi, Winifred, sorry that I'm late on here, only had a busy day with one thing and another. Like Jean, I really like the eBosser and it's so much easier than having to turn a handle. I still have the Grand Calibur machine which I've decided to keep and still use sometimes....it's a lot easier to use than the Cuttlebug and of course the eBosser is easier again.

What I like about both of the machines, is that they take A4 paper and card, and also the bigger dies and embossing folders, so you have more choice on the kind of cards that you are able to make.

Like both Jean and Ann, I always use waxed paper but I'm sure that you know that
too.
I can't really add more than what Jean has already said, so hope it will help you with the decision on whether to get the eBosser.

Nice to 'speak' to you, hope we will be in touch again on here.

Love, Sallie.xx

Managed to get a couple of sheets of the new Gatsby Chic toppers in Hobbycraft Gloucester, they had run out on line. Couldn't find them in the Hampshire Hobbycraft at the weekend. They are Art Deco and, I think, very attractive so I look forward to using them.

I have put a few photos on the photo blog of Gloucester Victorian Fair and the Docks, plus a couple of baby Luke.

Those sound nice Ann, so much football on television today, so made an effort to do some cards, and managed quite a few mainly fancy ones for birthdays etc; so some pics will be coming your way I hope.... felt nice doing them again...flippin football is still on, but getting too dark and chilly to do any more cards, so a nice cup of coffee is what I need....sorry nearly forgot to say thank you for the lovely card I havent put them up yet so will do it nearer christmas...chat later, take care

glad you got it ok Jean. Although as usual can't remember which one it was, never can. Yes the Gatsby Chic are very nice, some of them very sprink like so nice for a change from Christmas glitter. I have just started to put our cards up, in fact I put my cottage etc scene together yesterday. I like to get my moneys worth out of them as they are so expensive.

Just been out to lunch with friends to exchange presents. :-)

Hi Jean
I've been doing some art work recently and today was dyeing some fabric.
Once a month I go and work with like minded people so as I go this Wednesday I was getting some fabric ready.
I'll take some photos and post them on the blog.

The London photos were taken last week when we went to the Paul Klee exhibition at Tate Modern.
Take care

Hi Von, what is your blog address I'd love to see your work. I love altered art but don't do so much these days. You are so lucky to be able to visit the Tate Modern.
