Shoulder of Pork

Had one today cooked in the W*ber Kettle. Fantastic! For the first time for a long time had beautiful crackling. OH also cooked a cake and some scones in the residual heat.

We had pork today as well - still can't get the crackling to work no matter how hard I try

Tabitha, I normally cook shoulder pork in the oven at a low temperature for a long time to make it tender.

Using the ketle, which is fuelled with charcoal heat beads, it was cooked at a much higher temp. The rind was also scored and we rubbed the rind over with olive oil.

Hi Sandie

We also have a normal Barbie. We find the w*ber great in summer when it gets too hot in the house to cook in the main oven.
