Sounds interesting Allan, both your prison visit and the competition.

When they announced the closure of Ebbw Vale Steelworks, hubby and his mates used to have a Friday sausage competition at lunchtime, had to have a different type of sausage each week, they knew they were 'living on borrowed time'.

Good luck with your competition :-D

Hi all~~
What a change in the weather here, F1qualifying at Silverstone almost washed out yesterday , but managed to get going for real today.
Webber won, the Brits only managing 8th and 10th.
Murray' s taken the first set at Wimbledon... quite a way to go yet tho.

Yes Allan, hubby now works in the Finance Dept in the local Social Services,
He did land himself a higher paid job in a local furniture company in accounts, but he resigned after 2 weeks cos he said the set up was cr*p,and he wasn't kept informed of the day to day running ,and couldn't do the job properly being kept in the dark.

hello all

Sandie, I'm pleased that your hubby found other employment. I've heard that the job situation in the Uk is a bit fraught at the moment

Yes the employment market isn't too good at the mo.
Son works for Panas*nic, and they have recently closed the production side of the operation down, fortunately son is a Web Master and they have kept all the IT technicians on site, and have let out the Production area for now.

Evian Water...

Andy Murray was drinking it today at Wimbledon, shame it didn't help him win., then they interviewed him live on court poor chap was choked and in tears, but managed himself well, why didn't they just present him with the plate and let him go off court ?

Sis used to have Weber BBQ in SA, assume it's the same , Bil used to cook on it in all weathers, a whole Turkey for Xmas ! They still use it a lot now in the US ,it was one of the things they definitely had to take with them.lol
They are available here too ,but for the price we wouldn't get the use out it,and don't have a garage to store one in :-(

Hi all

Sandie, we got our webber in exchange for a small chest freezer which we no longer needed. Daughter's partner was going to throw out the webber as they had bought a larger bbq. He's a keen fisherman and needed more freezing capacity on his camping/fishing trips so we all benefited from the swap.
