Information about Tunbridge Wells Marriages

This index contains 199 marriages from the records of King Charles the Martyr in Tonbridge (Kent).
The Chapel of King Charles the Martyr first opened for worship in 1678, when Tunbridge Wells was just a small village containing a number of non-conformist chapels and meeting houses. When the Chapel was built it stood in three parishes, the altar in Tonbridge, the pulpit in Speldhurst and the vestry in Frant. It now stands wholly in Kent in its own parish, which was formed in 1889.
