William was born in 1874...so it would have been at the turn of the twentieth century that he was working there I should think. Sorry I just have put his birth date. |

According to Wikipedia the pub was designed in 1937 so he must have worked there after this date. It was Art Deco in style:- |

There are 6 articles in newspapers on Findmypast mentioning the Paviours Arms but they are from 1939 to 1949, so too late for your great grandfather's time. |

There are conflicting reports on the internet. Some say the building was knocked down in 2003 and others say it was closed down in 2003. I think there may be more than one Paviour's Arms in London, so not sure the reports are all talking about the same building. |
