If someone died in Lambeth any ideas which cemeter

I am helping my Aunt find her family Tree her Stepmother was killed by a Train in Lambeth and nobody in the family knows where she is buried she lived in Hounslow at the time thanks |

Trouble is, Lambeth covered a huge area. Don't suppose you can be more specific? I would think the first thing is to find the location of the accident. Any idea of the date? Could you give us a name? |

on her death cert it says 4 December 1939 Platform 8 Waterloo Station her name was Sabina Eldridge age 44 all her family have been trying to find where she is buried for a long time . sorry |

Would think it likely ,if she had family members at home ,that she would have been taken back to Hounslow & buried there.Have you checked the libraries to see if there are any newspaper reports |

It appears she was not buried where she would have expected to be for personal reasons. |

Got it. December 4th 1939. Without doubt there would have been a coroner's inquest, so that should be your task - to get hold of the report. As this would have been held within the vicinity of the place of death, you'll need to find out where it's held. According to the Times, she fell between the platform and the runningboard of a Waterloo to Portsmouth train. |

do you mean you have found the case in the paper WOWEE thats great I have not got the full story it seems she put her son on the train and he asked for a comic she went and got it and tried to get on the moving train and slipped between the running board and the platform it must have been terrible for her little boy he was only about 8 at the time kissy kissy kissy Where can I find that report thanks |

the inquest was held on the 7th december I have written to the Library to see if they have any newspaper article about it . |

With the war four months old it would not have made the front pages, but you should be able to find something. The Times gives only a passing reference. The library should be able to tell you where to find the coroner's report. |

The address in 1939 is correct for the woman who married Percy Eldridge, but the DOB is a mistake. |
