2.30 am I can't sleep for the worst restless leg thingy I've had for weeks.add that to the joint pain in my shoulder and wrist and I decided it was better to get up and read for a while .O.H. working in the morning and I was keeping him awake ,Now I'm up can't seem to concentrate on the book so I'm half watching Gillian McKeith's "you are what you eat" and looking online for baby things.I can always catch up on sleep in the morning ,no grandchildren on Sunday.

thankfully ,since I've been using the serenity cream my night sweats are almost gone,I'm on 24 days on the cream and the next 7 off ,thats this week so I'm blaming my symtoms on the lack of progesterone .Start using it again on Tuesday so will soon find out for sure.My O.H. says it's all psychological ,who cares If it's all in my head that it works it's still a result.

Patricia, psyhcolgical !!!!!!!!!!!!!! .If men had our symptoms they would change their tune lol.I just wish they could experience the hot flushes a few times.I have had the boiling sweaty face thing today which goes on for hours, and then I feel quite drained.
We have has visitors since yesterday and at lunch today I was there with a bunch of kitchen roll moping my face every couple of minutes lol
It is a pretty miserable afternoon but am hoping for a good day tomorrow.
I hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday w/e.

Hi everybody
Hope you all enjoy your holiday Monday, it's not a bank holiday up here in Scotland, Daughter no 1 & SIL have just left and daughter is really tired & fed up waiting for this baby now, due date was Friday gone and even though it's only been a few days she says it's seem like it's been forever.
Hopefully it will decide to come before next week end as I have a wedding evening reception next Friday and an 18th birthday party on the Saturday. I have told the hosts I am coming but might have to back out at the last minute

Firstly, I am lucky enough not to have reached this stage yet ...... but Tina (Harpy / Harpstrings) - who used to be on GR a lot asked me to pop on and say Hi on this thread - hopefully when the winter draws in she will be less busy and join again, I am sure we all miss her wit.

Jane

Jane Report 31 Aug 2009 17:23

Is Tina still reading our posts?
HI TINA,hope you are well and mastering your harp. You should be an expert when you come back

Hi all
still no sign of a baby yet , daughter say's she feels like a waddling Penguin, she's really fed up carrying all this weight

Bought a new top today for the 2 parties that I have go coming up this weekend. well If I get to them ,not really worried as it will always come in handy for another occasion
it's still raining and it's only 7.20pm and it's going quite dark outside.
we had lunch out this afternoon so no one is hungry for a big tea , going to make a sandwhich or some toast instead.

that's us on a baby countdown too ,6 days to due date and no decision on a name.I remember we had names picked right at the start of the pregnancy with our daughter and 3 full years before our son was born.I keep txting them names in the hope they might make a choice, we know it's a girl, and I've got a friend on standby to embroider her name on a pram blanket. I had thought it would be ready to bring her home in.Anyone out there have ideas on how to stop restless legs ?

Patricia

Patricia Report 1 Sep 2009 15:19

We used to have an airedale terrier called Guinness and as I have always been a poor sleeper I could be found walking her in the middle of the night quite regularly,I won't walk some places in the daytime on my own now, maybe we need another dog.

Hi All
It's hard work this baby lark isn't Patricia , all this waiting for these children to be born , harder than when I was having my daughter 28 years ago, now she's haveing her own baby, Oooooo !!!!!!
If you get any help on the restless legs problem please pass it on and the nervous feeling in the pit of the stomach too. lol

Jane

Jane Report 1 Sep 2009 15:29

I used to have an Airedale Terrier push along that I think you could sit on lol.
I loved it as did my sister after me.
I have the fan blowing, have whipped my bra off and put on strappy top.I think I overheated changing my bed linen lol.The sun is still shining but the wind seems to be picking up and I'm not sure about those clouds!!

I, on the other hand, am cold and have fished out a knitted waistcoat! Have been cold since I changed my medication 10 days ago. My blood pressure is down from the danger levels though.

Morning ladies

Hope that you're all keeping okay...been a bit cooler thank goodness. Had a bad night last night and the one before that, sweats!! Seriously thinking about going on HRT or atleast having a chat to my doctor about it...yes I feel that bad!! These aches and pains don't help either, feel like I've been runover by a steamroller most mornings.

Sorry to moan...Fiona are you a gran yet?

Tina if you're looking in, hope you're okay.

Back later I expect
