got talking to another gran at playgroup this morning after she noticed I was having a tropical moment and she recommended I should try sage tea,I've got some sage growing in my herb patch so I'm off to make some now .She says make it and store it in the fridge will let you know how it goes, though if it tastes bad I might have to add it to something else,

Fiona Report 4 Sep 2009 16:39

Hi Patrica
Hope the sage tea works for you. I tried sage capsules from the health shop and I didn't like the taste as it kept repeating it's self, mind you fresh sage might be different , best of luck anyway.
I'm off out to night so I want to go for a shower and wash hair ,meeting friends at bus station as a special bus has been put on to take us to this evening wedding do. so I will say both Good evening and goodnight and catch up with you tomorrow.
Jane if you go away tomorrow to Dorset , have a great time,

We are off to Dorset on 12th September, had a week there 3 years ago and loved it. Want to visit Abbotsbury Gardens again. We are staying near West Bay.

Jane Report 4 Sep 2009 17:48

It is a pity we will be crossing over Ann,we could have met up.Someone just mentioned Abbotsbury Gardens to me only an hour ago.Must try and go there.
We will be in Charmister.
I really wanted to go to Northumberland ,but left it too late and all the cottages I looked up were booked.Maybe next year.
Have a wonderful time Ann,I am off tomorrow morning sometime,

That baby better be here when I get back Fiona !!!!!! I hope it all goes well.

Lizzie I read something today about food intolerance possibly having something to do with causing migranes.

Fiona hope it goes well with your girl, I'm sure it will.

I've been lucky never suffered from migrains...but give it time!

so ,here we are again.1.40am ,cant sleep ,nothing worth watching on T.V. supposed to be working tomorrow at a wedding fayre but I don't see me making it.I'll have to do Sunday's stint instead and Sunday is always much busier so can expect sore feet ,lost voice and complete aversion to weddings for at least a couple of days. Our baby due Sunday so if she arrives on time that might make up for everything else. P.S. Sage tea is not the best thing I have ever tasted, added a little honey and some lemon to it and it's drinkable......just Will persevere

Hi Lizzie, sorry about your migraines, as i said i've been lucky and never had them...it must be a bloody nuisance and no, you don't go on....
we're here on this thread to have a moan and a gripe...I know I do!! And you know what they say a problem shared and all that. I know it doesn't make the pain go away, but it's theraputic for me just to come on here sometimes and write about how I feel.

I slept okay last night, first good nights sleep in ages.

Speak soon,

Pam.

Hi all, just a quick hello and then I'm off to do my ironing for the holiday...no I'm not going to take the usual 20 pairs of shoes or go 'over the top' with clothes...as half of them don't get used!

Keep safe all of you and I expect there will be lot's of baby news when i get back...speak on or around the 19th of this month.

Take care,

Fiona, you need to take your daughter for a good hot curry ,my daughter swears thats what started her labour.

Fiona

Fiona Report 6 Sep 2009 20:43

Hi Patrica
You are about the 5th person today that has said give your daughter a good hot curry, unfortunatly no one in my family likes indian food, any other idea's to trigger of labour.

Hi AB , I will do my best to get on GR at least once in the day but can't promise my news will be anything but baby talk.

I'm off for a shower so I will say goodnight,
xx

sex ,raspberry leaf tea .

Fiona

Fiona Report 7 Sep 2009 12:27

Hi Patrica
I won't mention the sex to daughter, she'd tell me to get lost, but the Raspberry Leaf tea sounds interesting.
Quiet here today everyone out, just me left, nice and peaceful , catching up on a bit of family research. and then a bit of housework boring.

Hi Patricia
I'm Back! just thought I would drop a quick line to say

COULD THIS BE IT?!!!!!!!
Daughter no 1 phoned about 1.00pm today, she had been experiencing stomach cramps about 7.00 this morning nothing serious but she just didn't feel quite right , had no movement from baby today.
she rang Midwife and they told her to come up to the hospital about 2.40 and they will check whats going on , SIL is coming home from work as he took the car this morning , so we are all waiting in anticipation to see what the midwife says.
Will keep you all uptodate with whats going on.

Fiona Report 7 Sep 2009 16:52

Hi All
Daughter no 1 has phoned and said the midwife at the hospital say's that daughter is having small mild contractions at the moment and has sent her home to wait and see what developes through the rest of this day and night and if anything happens they are to go to the hospital ,
so It looks like this baby is starting to come ,maybe a while yet but at least something is happening

Fiona

Fiona Report 7 Sep 2009 19:57

HI AB
Yes this is a first baby and is very lazy, daughter Say's it has it's favourite times when it's more lively than normal, usually after a meal and on a sunday when SIL is watching formular 1 on the Tele then it's all over the place.
I expect we won't hear much this evening , maybe through the night or early tomorrow SIL will phone , I will be on GR letting you all know the outcome.
off for a bath to relax.

9.35 Just popped in to say goodnight, nothing happening yet on the baby front.
Will be back tomorrow
night night

Poor wee soul, hope it's not much longer. My friends daughter delivered a wee boy ,Daniel after 21/2 hours in labour ,she's 41 and thought it might be more difficult because of her age.She was thrilled it was so quick and not a single stitch.Still, you forget the labour pretty quickly once your baby's born.Best wishes to her we'll all be thinking of her
