I think that the frog would croak, Kathryn, and you use the batter to get the toad into the hole. You batter it until it complies with your wishes :-P :-D :-D

What's a frog's favourite footwear?.........Open toad sandals :-D :-D

Kathryn

Kathryn Report 8 Jun 2018 13:28

Must have been a bit dicey ;-)

Allan

Allan Report 8 Jun 2018 22:15

Yes, Kathryn, we did, but the way we did it was enough to make you cry. We ran rings around the prison staff :-P :-D :-D

Dear Allan and All

Hello

I decided to learn crochet............I didn't realise how difficult it is!

Hope that's bland enough. :-D

Hello Maggie,

Its really complicated, especially at corners with the extra stitches needed.

A very patient friend of mine is trying to teach me.........I think she is getting exasperated at latest piece! :-S

Take gentle care
Best wishes

Hello Elizabeth,

OH is quite good at crocheting. She did try to teach me on a few occasions, together with knitting.

Alas, I'm not very good, or patient, with practical things so I confine myself to those activities which do not call for such attributes :-D

I managed a circle - then went back to French knitting! :-D

I don't know, I'll have to refer to the Thread Snatcher's thread, although I'm fairly sure that knitting needles were involved in that murder ;-) :-D :-D

I knew a doctor once who wasn't very good :-(

You could tell from the way his patients ran out :-D :-D :-D

:-D :-D :-D@Caroline

I do hope that I'm not underappreciated this morning. Off soon to do a charity sausage sizzle.....nothing unusual about that, rather bland in fact. :-\

Except, I was going to do the first shift from 07.00 to 10.00, then changed to an afternoon shift at someone's request due to his family situation.

All very noble so far :-D

Except, I was to take some stuff in for the commencement of the event which has been in our fridge/freezer. So now I'm going in at 06.00 to the lodge hall, no one will be at the site of the event until 0.7.00, to drop my stuff off, help with a few preparations there, and hang around until 07.00 so that I can drop off supplies before heading home :-|

Oh yes, on the way in I also have to pick up some bags of ice.

Why we need ice I have no idea. In fact why we need sausages I have no idea.

The weather is atrocious and a series of active cold fronts have moved across the south west all week. Very strong winds and heavy rain yesterday and the same forecast today, with a soupcon of thunderstorms added for good measure :-|

There are times when I find it very hard to be charitable :-D :-D

No lie-in, then Allan, but a very long day :-(
