If they aren't careful Trifley 'implode' is exactly what the gen board will do. Unfortunately it is a small minority who cause the unrest. I for one have made some very good friends from this site. Some will be ships that pass in the night, and I'll eventually lose contact with them, but a small group will be there for life, even if contact is intermittent at times. gotta thank the site for something. lol!!

Good morning ....*yawn* So much has happened!!!! Hello Alice and Lara, I dont think we've met before. What is this Lotto you are talking about?? Emoo ..... I have always been fascinated by Lord Howe Island ...... Do you cycle around the Island, although its pretty hilly isnt it? I always get confused with LH Island and Norfolk Island, one or both do not have many cars. You all sound very nice people. Do you have any men on here? TVM

Morning TVM, Lotto is a game where you gamble on numbered balls. If you can pick the right ones you get to buy a widescreen TV or go on holidays. I play but this week I havent got my numbers yet. I thought EMOO was a type of European Cow...lol

Hello Virgin Merry I don't know about Norfolk Island.....I have not been there. However.......Lord Howe Island is a small island, quite hilly at the southern end. They have 2 hills (the locals like to call them mountains) called Lidgebird and Gower. The western side of the island has a sheltered lagoon and the area which cradles this lagoon is reasonably flat. Tourists and locals ride push bikes but there are quite a few vehicles on the island. The speed limit is 25km, however the local policeman (my son) does tolerate 30km along the side of the airport runway. EMOO

Thanks for that Emoo. Did you say you were visiting your son, or do you live there permanently? If not ........... where is your home normally? TVM

Anna Report 29 Apr 2006 06:37

Good afternoon ladies I have been 'googling' all morning - what an entertaining pastime my dears. And I must say 'googling' sounds just a little bit naughty! The information I have been able to find is quite extraordinary - I was quite overcome on several occasions and had to resort to some medicinal brandy to revive myself. And I found out all about my poor 4th cousin 6 times removed, James Cook. He discovered your dear little Island! Imagine that! And later he voyaged further only to be murdered by savages in Hawaii. I am quite overcome - my poor, poor ancestor. Oh Virgin Merry - are you related to my poor dear James - I think you mentioned you had Cooks amongst your ancestors. I am quite sure they would not have been the common ones my dear. I need to retire to my room for a short afternoon nap so that I will be ready for the evening festivities. I believe someone asked where I reside. I have this charming little house in Chelsea, London. Upstairs and downstairs - the staff live downstairs. Until later my dears LB

Hello again Virgin Merry I am staying with my son for the winter. I usually live with my daughter and her husband in a small town called Bredbo. It is about 45mins drive from Cooma NSW. Or 30mins if my daughter drives! She and her husband have sheep. It can get quite cold there so we thought some place a little warmer might be nice for me for winter. EMOO

Judy Report 29 Apr 2006 06:58

Oh LB ..... do you have a butler 'n all .......... we've never had a real lady on our thread before, only make believe ones, or people who think they are ladies or queens etc. If you need any more help with your googling, let us know. I hope you havent been near those porn sites, it sounds as though you have ventured where you should not have. Emoo ... you are so lucky you have somewhere to go for the cold winters ! Jood

Trifley Report 29 Apr 2006 07:08

Yes, I'm very lucky, I don't really like the cold. My husband died some years ago and his daughter kindly asked me to stay with her and her husband. I don't like to impose too much so I go and visit my son when I can. I get on well with both of them and they get on well together too. EMOO

OH MY GODFATHER! Forget the poms the other night, what the hell have you lunatics been taking. Those in Wonga will NEVER catch up! Just back from Sydney with 2 possible rugs. Decisions will be made next week. Received Lotto numbers. God, could you even begin to imagine the noise down at the Yarrawonga Newsagency if we won??? Anyone heard from them down there? Lew Lew x

Anna

Anna Report 29 Apr 2006 08:04

Dear Lew Lew Calm down and don't over excite yourself. There have been a few visitors to our thread but they seem like decent enough ladies - one is even a virgin and another is a REAL lady and there's some poor old soul who seems a bit dotty and a fairy and a bona fide researcher. But they are all perfectly respectable. I haven't got the lotto numbers - sniff, sniff. I've been forgotten. Sounds as if they are having a ball down south. As you say, the place would erupt if our numbers came up. Good luck with the rugs - they always look different 'in situ.' Cheers - and take a cool pill (I think that should be a chill pill!) Anna
