Hi Allan~~

As you can guess I love Pasta and most Italian foods, spent my honeymoon in Sicily in Monreale at my hubby's step sister's hotel.[ Brill... cos we couldn't afford a lot at the time, just paid for the flights and some electric hair curlers step sister wanted us to take.]
So savoured nothing but authentic Italian food the whole time :-D
My last post is Fusulli with a walnut sauce.
Also love Greek dishes...I hate it when cafes or restaurants advertise 'all day English breakfasts'.

Lol Sandie, that's why I never went to Spain whem we were living in the UK. When I go abroad I want to experience the whole culture and way of life not have English or Aussie food.

That's another reason that I have not been to Bali, even though it's cheaper to fly there and spend a couple of days, than it is to fly to the eastern states

Allan we cant buy Battenburg here either anymore

When my daughter and granddaughter went back to England with me in 1999 My daughter fell in love with Battenburg Cakes.

You could buy them at the market without the box but wrapped and they were 3 for £1 I think

Im heading back in June and I have strict orders to bring some back with me . I hope I will be allowed to bring them in
