OMG..I would have gone mental having a rat in the bedroom, I don't have cats who bring such presents home thankfully.
It was a rather exciting start to your day , and I did laugh at your expense ;-) :-D :-D

Ugly prawns we throw on the Barbie?
A misdomeanor - we actuall love them short boiled and eat. The BBQ f==n'ms them up!

Hello Kathleen~~ and welcome , I don't think I've seen you post on the quiz boards before. Sorry if you have..it's the avartar I usually recognise first. :-D :-D

I've purposely excluded the Q ,U and W ,X ,Y and Z from this thread and bless you ,you've come up with 3 U's.. :-(
I've no idea as to what happens to the prawns when you put them on the Barbie :-S
from what you wrote ;-) ....will have to ask Allan for a translation ;-)

Hi all, and welcome Kathleen

In my 30 years over here I've never had a bbq'd prawn :-)

Wild weather for the last two days, and the wind is still howling. No early morning walks: it's far too dangerous :-(

I bet you miss your early morning walks Allan :(

Can you fill in the 2 missing letters that Kathleen said happens to prawns on a bbq ? Is it an Aussie phrase ? :-S

I can't, Sandie, as I've never heard of it. I can only suppose given the missing letters that it is another way of saying 'it ruins them'

Max temp today 18C, 30,000 homes in the Greater Perth area still without power and not far from here a tree fell on a caravan and killed the occupant.

The poor schoolleavers who travel down to here from Perth have had two days of activities cancelled. Those who wnet to Rottnest (a large island just of Perth, can't leave the island as all ferry services have been cancelled!

*$parkling $andie* Report 28 Nov 2012 23:24

Think the max here today was about 4 degrees C,but very sunny.
A big difference , as the last few days have seen very heavy rain and torrential floods.
In the new 'little ' City of St Asaph in North Wales ( pop about 3,500 ) 400 homes were deluged and an elderly lady was found to have died trying to escape her flooded home.Storms and flooding has been very bad in many areas in GB with quite a few fatalities.
It is sad when the extremes of our weather cause fatalities.
