I'm like you Jane I have been neglecting this thread so I apologize and I hope everyone is OK, I have been very busy running between sorting out an elderly father in to a new care home and helping my eldest daughter with my granddaughter who has now started teething. poor daughter hasn't been out much during this bad weather, as it's not easy to go driving the car or go for walks in all this ice & snow.
I keep hoping this thaw we are having will last but then it snows again. we have had a lot of rain today.

Well ladies I gave in and took my doctors advice and have been on HRT now for a whole month. Can't say I feel any better, but my husband was losing patience with the seperate beds scenario.Night sweats haven't really improved but he's happy that I appear to be doing something about it.,one good side effect is the pills make me feel really nauseous ,so I'm off my food and have lost a little bit of weight, although they seem to be making me feel very weepy and I've had a period that has lasted 3 weeks .Dr. says it will settle within the first 3 months.Hormones........cant live with them ..........cant live without them lol

HELP!! I,ve just had a third e-mail from a guy who says he's getting my posts to this site on his e-mail.He wants me to put a stop to it as he finds it "extremely irritating" anyone any ideas how to go about it?

Patricia that sounds real odd, no wonder he's getting annoyed, but there again these community boards are always acting strange. Its seems a funny set up. You post replies to people's comments and they never appear, can't work out what is going on as I posted a second one only a few seconds later and that was up on here straight away. Maybe if you email those who run this site they can look into it for you and sort it out. There is the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page.

Patricia, give it a bit more time and see if you start to feel a bit better and if not maybe you need to go back to the Doctors. There are different types of HRT tablets, maybe a different one would suit you better. There are also HRT patches, I used these and found them to be much better than the tablets.
Its no fun when your feeling tearful all the time, so I hope it settles down soon for you.

Evening all,I contacted the GR team and hope they can sort it out for me.I did think of trying to make a joke of it and tell the man that we were obviously meant to be in touch ,but he comes across as a bit of a GRUMP.I live with one so I can recognise the signs.Oh Dear.........hope this doesn't end up on his e-mail.If it does I am truly sorry and will keep my fingers crossed that it's sorted soon

I find the remakes of old films from books are the worst offenders.I love the classic Little Women, and the film version with Katherine Hepburn was, a very good adaptation, I thought ,the more recent film with Winona Ryder just didn't have the same authenticity and I felt it let the book down badly. On the other hand I read the "sequel" March ,about the father of the family and his life during the civil war as a chaplain and although it was written 100 years later I thought it was a good read and kept to the original feel of Little Women and the period where it was set.I would certainly recommend it and I think it has the potential to be a really good film.

Patricia

Patricia Report 21 Jan 2010 22:55

got a low calorie pud for you.BUY a sponge flan ring or make a fat free sponge .Layer with low fat fruit yoghourt fresh fruit in season and top with sugar free jelly.Particularly nice with a mix of raspberries and peaches and a very thin layer of raspberry jelly ,decorate to taste with whipped double elmlea (low fat) It tastes like it has a zillion calories and it's not

Variation on Patricias idea, use a sugarfree angel delight on the top. I have done that several times. You can use Vanill, Banana or Chocolate. Cant remember the other flavours. OH wont touch yoghurt.

He's trying to be sympathetic, Patricia. Does he like chocolate brazils, too! There are always plain brazils in our house for snacking instead of sweets.
