Just been busy with someone who wants to check my tree ...!!

I've started to ask ? first as to what the link is with mine.

Then I feel able to let them view , but why don't they automatically let me view theirs as well ....So unless I can view theirs I'll have mine on hold ..LOL

I feel a bit like that today ......Fair's fair I say.

The skip was big Helen .......Tuts to myself LOL

Marylyn, I hope they were polite. I had a PM the other day and all it said was

"what connection do you think you have with my family"
No question mark, almost a slap in the face! I replied "Excuse me?"
Then I sent another PM saying as polite as I could, that unless they were forthcoming with a name I can check then I would be unable to answer their question.

Then came back an automated reply, "sorry we have no connection"

Weird or what! Barmy is what I say, completely barmy. They wont get very far on their tree search if they are asking questions like that.

How are you feeling today by the way?

Tina,

Yes cant complain it was polite.....but would have liked it both ways !! lol

I have been feeling great , don't know how I'm going to wash my hair now, supposed to keep the wound dry ....Think I'll ask my sister to come and wash it for me somehow leaning over the bath without touching the wound .

Hubby suggested he would have a BASH at it now that in it's self sounds
a catastrophe .......I said to him I don't want you to BASH it I want you to wash it ... !!! Oh I couldn't trust him ......

Sisters job......I recon.

Hi Marilyn
Glad you are feeling well. Definately a sisters job that, a man would not do it properly and bound to knock the wound, as they do tend to be a bit heavy handed, they may not mean to but they cannot help it. Good luck. I expect you will feel even better once your hair has been washing. Nothing worse than greasy hair to drag you down. I dont know about you but it always feels lighter the hair, after it has been washed too.

Marilyn ,have you tried the dry shampoo spray. It may just see you through until you can wash it properly..

GRMarilyn

GRMarilyn Report 27 Apr 2009 21:41

Helen,
No I have never tried a dry shampoo ...its worth a look , I'll go out tomorrow and find one.

I have just made a complete mess of a Cholesterol test pack.
Hubby had it sent to him free via a club card from Tesco's.

I had the test stick around the wrong way so the blood was not activated properly......I'm not too bothered as my cholesterol was 4.1 the last time 2yrs ago and hubby's was 6.7 so he gave it to me
Better go and have a new one done at the surgery.

Hubby cant quite get it that I'm lower than him or was. lol

Marilyn, our Sainsburys are doing free cholesterol tests until July. I don't know if they are all doing them. OH and I went last Saturday and had ours done......you make an appointment and they give you the results straightaway. I was quite chuffed with mine as the 2 previous times I had it checked it was over 5 and is now under 4. OH's is even lower. Those Benecol drinks I have must be helping!!

I'm off to bed now, hope you all sleep tight. xx

GRMarilyn Report 27 Apr 2009 22:16

WELL AT LAST!

I am worn out doing nowt. Although I did meet up with a GR member this morning for coffee so I have not exactly done nothing. I also spent nealry £90 on myself on clothes - iI had £150 store gift card given to me for my birthday last month. So have now got four new tops and a new skirt and still got £61 left to spend. Good or what?! lol

So I wonder how long we will be able to post this evening!

I have been like Marilyn.Done lots of H****w**k.Even washed floors ,which was a waste of time as we have just had a big thunderstorm and downpour. So everyone has come in with wet shoes.I don't know why I bother really lol
At least you Tina have had an enjoyable day spending money.
AB I saw the posting on taking cider vinegar so have told my friend to try it.She has very high cholesterol and has done everything she can think of to lower it.Without success.I think hers must be a genes thing.

I worked with lady that had high cholestorol, it was found that her body was making it too. She always watched what she ate, no animal fats no cakes biscuits etc. She ate really healthily but still her levels stayed high.

She just had to hope she never had a stroke.

Evening ladies, well what a funny old 'to do' with GR! Glad it's back to normal...didn't do any housework as was asleep for most part...any excuse!

Lorraine please come back on our thread and don't let prats like that get to you, I've had daft messages and it's best to basically ignore them...it does annoy you though I know and it's upsetting. Please post again as you're very much part of our thread and we miss you!

Be back later ladies I hope when I've had my tea.

Pam. ☺

Hi Everyone,

Got lots more jobs done today too!!

I think I'll have a look at the Flora drinks if they have less sugar/artificial sweetener AB. I have Benecol Light at present which has 30% less sugar than standard ones. Cider Vinegar.....I might try that too....anything that might help. Although my cholesterol is ok at present, there is a family history of heart attacks and strokes, so I cut all fat off, blot fried eggs with a serviette, don't eat chips, sausages etc........but I must still eat too much or I wouldn't be this size!!! lol Could be the chocolate I find hard to resist!!

Pam, hope I didn't confuse you, you have to book the free cholesterol tests at the pharmacy in Sainsbury's. They do the test for you....it isn't a free kit.

Hello all, yes had lasagne for tea, a Tesc* ready made one, so that was easy enough! I'm no Delia I'm afraid!

Going to get my beetroot tomorrow AB...always feel uneasy when I'm getting low on it in the larder. Larder, now that's a word we don't use much nowadays! Youngsters would think it's a car from eastern Europe!
Think the evening primrose oil is making a difference with the flushes. Going to be a nice day tomorrow so going to go for a bike ride. That's one thing about the Norfolk country side it's very flat! I don't do hills any more, well only in my car!
