Sallie Report 1 Mar 2011 21:03

Hi again,

Ann, I meant to tell you that I have had the second letter to Julia, returned again. I just hope that we will hear from her soon, and that both her and her hubby are alright. I don't think there is anything else we can do now, just wait and see.

Mo, so pleased that you and Roly have had a lovely anniversary, and had a lovely meal out.
It's cold here too, I'm just glad to be able to stay at home in the warm.

Hello Marilyn, good to see that you are alright and enjoying life. Take care.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Oh that is sad Sallie. So either the name was wrong or they keep themselves to themselves. Let's hope we hear something soon.

Jean and Jeff wishing you both a very Happy 55th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow.
Hope you'll both have a lovely day.

Love and best wishes. Sallie and Alun.xxx

Ann, I also hope that we'll hear from Julia soon. Probably got the name wrong, but it was worth a try. I just hope that I'll be out one day and unexpectedly meet her, which would be nice.

Hope everyone else is alright.

A HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO OUR JEAN AND HER WONDERFUL JEFF.
*******************************************************************************
*******************************************************************************

I hope you both enjoy your special day, remembering all the happy times,
that you have shared over the years.

I see that Liz has just started a thread re-Joyce. Something drastic must have happened.
I just hope and pray that it's a problem that is easily solved.

We were taken out for lunch today, by little Lilly and her mum and dad.
Bless her she slept right through the lunch, so that I did not get a cuddle from her.
But it was lovely and great to be treated by our son.

Going to go and check if theres anymore news re Joyce.
Bye for now girls. Love to you all. Mo xxx

Mo you are doing well having meals out this week. It must be great not to have to do the cooking.

I'm going to see if there is anymore about Joyce on Liz's thread.

Might see you all later.

Folks, please don't worry too much over the thread for Joyce - she had some news that was upsetting for her and the family but she will cope, as she always does, just a lot of stuff going on at once and with her health problems as well, I think it hit her hard.

Jan will be there for her as always, shame he isn't feeling so well at the mo too. Between them they just about make a whole one these days lol but they are a good team and will get by.

Huia Report 3 Mar 2011 07:42

Happy anniversary to Jean and J and I think I missed saying it for Mo and Roly. I have been quite busy researching for my book. It is about the Franklin County of which my dad was engineer for almost 30 years, having previously spent several years as assistant. Not that it will be all about him. We have to find the early history. It started off with road boards in a few places, then the County was officially formed in 1912. Dad started working there in the early 20s. The County became Franklin District in 1989 I think it was, when the govt decreed that we should amalgamate with Pukekohe, Waiuku and Tuakau boroughs. Now, thanks to another govt decree we are now the Franklin Ward of Auckland City. I call it Dorkland.

Huia.

Hi All ,

Mo I hope you had a very nice Anniversary.
Hello to Jean and J
I hope you have a nice Anniversary also.
To Sallie, Caz ,Sylvia, Marilyn, Huia, I hope you are all well,
sorry folks I am so tired, having lots of Pain, I am going to have exrays to-morrow to see what the problem is.
Mind you I am not suffering like Joyce or Caz.nor do I have the worry either.

Dear Dutch, you seem to be having such a bad time I do hope the permit can be sorted out and dont worry about the funeral costs your grand daughters will have to do what the others have suggested , Give the Funeral parlor the name of the person responsible, it is very unfair that this son has not paid the bill, but you should not be expected to be the go between, I do hope Jan is feeling better on the new medication.
I need to get to bed, I wish you all a good Day

Hugs Marie

Hi all.
Has anyone got anymore news on our Joyce. This is such a worry, I do hope she is o.k.

Oh Marie, I am so sorry you are still getting the pains in your knees. I hope the xray shows up what the problems are,and that something can be done as soon as possible, to ease your pain.

Huia I loved your description, of the Franklin Ward of Auckland ,Dorkland,
thats brilliant.
The life history of your family is so interesting. My lot were just ag labs, who travelled up country. And yes I know they worked hard, but it must have been quite a boring job.
My grandfather came over from Antwerp in Belgium, before the war, and he was a cigar maker.
He has been the bain of my life as I cannot trace him or my great grandparents, as he changed the spelling of his surname.

Hi Sylvia, hows you now. Has that snow cleared up yet.?

Sallie, it has made a lovely change, not to have had to cook for two days this week.
Roly has not been to good today, he's got a sore throat, aches all over, and is coughing like an old dog.
So tonight he did not want a cooked meal, he just had some soup instead.
So thats another day of not having to cook, laaazzyyy me. lol

I hope Jean and J have had a lovely Anniversary, and that they enjoy their meal out tomorrow.

I hope that Caz is o.k, as we have not heard from her in a couple of days.

Where's Ann tonight I wonder. It's not long now till your holiday Ann is it.

Liz, good to hear from you hun. I know we shouldn't worry about Joyce, but we can't help it. She is one kind hearted lady who would do everything to help others, and yet she really does have some s*it thrown at her at times, bless her.

Got to go and make the invalid a drink now, so he can take some more tablets for his man flu.
Take care everyone. Love to you all. Mo xxx

Hi All
,I read the thread on Joyce, Poor love she is realy doing it hard, but what ever it is I am sure she will find the will to fight whatever it is.

We need to all concentrate our thoughts on Joyce and ask God to help her I do really believe in the Power of concentrated minds, you her friends in the uk should decide on a time and all ask God to help Joyce I personally will do it before I go to sleep at night.about 10:30 pm,that would be about 11.-30am your time ----I think,.so how about it girls.

I had my xrays to-day and I am much improved with the 3 doses of the arthritis medication I have had, I can actually walk with out too much pain I hope you are all ok., this has to be short as I have to do some watering to-night
Love & Hugs to you all Marie. ps. I will get the results on Monday

Hi girls.
Ann, I did see your thread about the prescription saga. And I don't blame you for being well cheesed of about it.
I know that T managed to pick it up today, but they were really taking the mickey yesterday.
At our local chemists we have three ways of getting our repeats, we either
take them into the docors ourselves, and return to pick them up, or we take the repeat into the doctors and the pharmacy picks it up, and we just collect it from the chemists when it's ready, or, the pharmacy keep the repeat prescription and send it to the doctor when it need renewing.
Talking about prescriptions, did you see on the news that the costs are going up to £7.40 per item soon.
I am just so relieved that we don't have to pay for them any more.

Marie, I will say a special prayer for Joyce at 11.30 tonight, and add yourself, Caz and Jean to it, healing thoughts for each and everyone of you.
Let us know how you get on with your results on Monday please.
What arthritus medication are you on love. Thank the lord it has helped you with your walking.

Love to you all. Mo xxx

Hello girls.
Thanks for letting us know about Sallie Caz. There seems to be a lot of this chest infection bug going around. Roly has been unwell with it for a few days now, and I have just started with his symptoms.
He's going to rattle soon, where I have been shoving paracetamol and honey and hot lemon down his throat every four hours, bless him.

Keep your chin up Caz, sending you great big (((((((( GENTLE HUG))))))

Thank goodness you have got your observant head on Ann, I must be in such a dream lately, as I hadn't realised that our Sallie hadn't posted for a few days, stupid me.

I hope you feel better soon Sallie. Just get as much rest as you can, and allow Alun to pamper you love.

Take care everyone. Love Mo xxx
