Afternoon Wafflers Good to see you all happy and chirrpy.. Hi Cinders....I don't care where we meet so long as it's South Bank. I've already booked my bed and don't want too far to walk. It would be too much like exercise. As I said before......I have another single bed in my hotel room. So if any of you intend staying Friday and/or Saturday night....just give me a yell. Afternoon Wattlers, B****y miserable in Melb this arvo. Its pouring with rain and just got so cold & dark I had to put the lights and heater on, Im glad the week is almost over, Ive had an on going 'discussion' with optus and today was the banks turn. Why cant you get someone to do as you request without trying to sell you things you dont want, or wanting to ask your OH first? Worst mistake both guys made was to ask to speak to my hubby before doing as I wanted....dont think they will do that again in a hurry...lol Laurie I feel sorry for you, all that hard work you have done, but maybe not for nothing you might be able to pass it on to someone one day who will be really grateful. We did this once when Mark was in Noo York. We found a web cam in Times square, told him where to go and we could see him as he waved. It was great! Trifley

Omg just got the news on the TV re Autralia's bravest little girl Sophie the little girl who was burnt when the car went thru the kinder wall, was hit in her pusher on a pedestrian crossing and the ba**stard didn't stop she is serious and has head injuries and broken leg and other injuries,what has this poor little soul go to go through before she gets to live happily ever after My prayers for her and her parents and family . Our miners are brave aren't they they are bits of comedians are calling their cage a two star hotel they say they are the two stars lol praqyers too for them and families ' Laurie don't give up mate, it's happened to all of us maybe not the extent where we had bought the certs too but never mind just think you know all about the half bros and sister too because they are related,same as my great grandfather who ran of and left 7 kids and then had ten more (yet to be confirmed ) are my rellies whether I want them or not LOL we don't want you to disappear on us ok hang in there please. Loved this and thought you all might like to see it There's been a change in Grandma , we've noticed her of late . She's always reading history or jotting down some dates She's tracking down the family , We'll all have pedigrees . Oh see Grandma's got a hobby-she's climbing the family tree , Poor Grandpa does the cooking , and now or so he states , That the worst of all , he has to wash the cups and dinner plates . Grandma can't be bothered , she's as busy as a bee , Compiling Genealogy for the Family Tree. She has no time to baby sit the curtains are a fright, No buttons left on Grandpa's shirt , The flower bed's a site She's given up her club work and the soapies on TV, The only thing she does now days is climb the Family Tree. She goes down to the courthouse and studies ancient lore, We know more about our forebearers than we ever did before. The books are old and dusty they make poor Grandma sneeze. A minor irration when you're climbing the family tree, The mail is all for Grandma it comes from near and far. Last week she got the proof she needs to join the PPP , A monumental achievemant you would all agree, All achieved from climbing the blessed Family Tree. Now some folks came from Scotland some from Galway Bay , some were French as pastry, some german all the way , some went west to stake their claims , Some stayed there by the sea Grandma hopes to find them all ,as she climbs the Family Tree She wanders through the graveyard in search of date and name the rich the poor, the inbetween , all sleeping there the same. She pauses now and then to rest, fanned by a gentle breeze, That blows above the fathers of all our Family Trees There are pioneers and patriots, mixed in our kith and kin who blazed the path of wilderness and fought through thick and thin But none more staunch than Grandma whose eyes light up with glee, Each time she finds a new branch for the Family Tree Their skills were wide and varied from carpenter to cook, And one , alas the records show was hopelessly a crook, Blacksmith ,Weaver , Farmer , Judge , -some tutored for a fee Once lost in Time ,now all recorded on the Family Tree To some it's just a hobby ,To Grandma its much more she learns the joys and heartaches of those that went before . They loved, they lost ,they laughed, they wept -and now for you and me they live again in spirit around the Family Tree At last she's nearly finished and we are each exposed, Life will be the same again is what we all suppose Grandma will cook, and sew, serve cookies with our tea, we'll all be fat , just as before the wretched Family Tree. Sad to relate the preacher called and visited for a spell . We talked about the gospel and other things as well. The heathen folk, the poor and then -t'was fate it had to be Somehow the conversation turned to to Grandma and the Family Tree. He never knew his Grandpa his mothers name was.... Clark? He and Grandma talked and talked , outside it grew quite dark. We'd hoped our fears were groundless , but just like some disease , Grandma's become an addict - she's hooked on Family Trees Our souls are filled with sorrow , our hearts are sad with dismay . Our ears could scarce believe the words we heard our Grandma say , 'It sure is a lucky thing that you have came to me, I know exactly how it's done I'll climb your Family Tree' Author Unknown Just wanted to say yeh yeh Lew so sorry to lump you in with the Cinderebel and the Trifley one, Should have known better than that ,...........................,......you'll probably be the ring leader not just one of the mob cause my dear little Rebilly one wouldn't be the instigater of mischief no way and Trifley will be busy with some bloke she'll have in tow lol so sorry about that pmsl bye for now, love Lara

Evening Wattlers Well we had a cool day but no rain to speak of, must have gone north to Melbourne. The news is terrible about poor Sophie and what she and her family have already gone through and now this, my prayers and positive thoughts are with them at this stage. Lara I went and saw the pics that Tony put on GC photopage, starting to put faces to the names that I didnt already know. Yes the 2 miners are definately comedians. As the saying goes if you dont laugh you will cry, so at least they are keeping positive and that will get them through, maybe not so they can go to the footy this weekend like they wanted to but god willing and everything going well they should be out by Sunday, unless they strike a problem. Fingers, toes and everything else is crossed for their safe escape from their 2 star hotel pmsl. I hope when they get out that they totally snub the media and leave without saying anything and the families follow, then when they are ready to speak they can pick who and when to say anything. I know the media are a neccessary evil but when you hear stories of some of them trying to bribe workers to try and get a camera down the mine to get a scoop on the rescue, makes your blood boil, along with all the other harrasment of the poor families, as if they dont have enough to contend with. Anyway I will get of my soapbox and go back to watching the footy, at the moment Jude 2 should be happy, but they need to keep going or the cats wont be singing tonight. Cheers Sue
