Julie, My daughter was at work, and I had to get the eggs one day (for myself) - and when I got in the cage, the 3 little beggars got out - it took me 20 mins to get them back - sqawking and dashing here and there, get one to the gate, and it would be a matter of you go that way and I'll go this way. ... I was soooo puffed out and swearing like mad to say the least! .. You know how hysterical chickens get !!! Jood

Morning Wattlers. Another clear day here on the Central Tablelands. Yes, Julie, our Jood is now known as the Chicken Herder. A very amusing sight indeed. That was a lovely poem Jude 3. My mum passed away in 2001 and unfortunately I wasn't close to either her or my dad. Anyway, that's the way life is sometimes. No point dwelling on it and I have lots of friends who are happy to share their parents. Well it's back to the office today. Had breakfast yesterday down at the Bathers Pavillion at Balmoral Beach. God I can't wait to retire so I can do more of that kind of thing (45 sleeps). Landscapers on site this morning, as well as the builders just doing the final touches. I promise, photos will be published soon! Not long now 'til the Brissie Meet. Rebs, do you have any final numbers? Well must away. Chat with you during the day. Lew Lew xxx

Lew Lew - that is near my old stamping ground. .... I never ever got to the Bathers Pavilion (bit exie for me), but I loved going down to the beach, used to take all my visitors there. This poem is not directed to anyone in particular!!! The Value of a Drink 'Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shame. .. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams. .. If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.' ~ Jack Handy WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may leave you wondering what the hell happened to your bra and panties. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 'I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day. ' ~Frank Sinatra Thats it folks Jood

Good Morning to the Warbling Waffling Wattlers Nip in the air here this morning but I'm still not wearing a jumper. Hi Jude 3 - good luck with the purchase of the ticket to our dreams. What a beautiful poem from your daughter. That is something to be tucked away in your family history files. Vonny - very interesting about the cause of your computer crashing last year - and yes - sounds as if it is the same antiviral program. The tech who came to fix ours says he always advises people against it. Did you change your anti viral program? Lew - we're all hanging out for the photos - sounds as if you are getting nearer to the completion of the job. Hope you find the missing bit to Vonny's jig saw puzzle at the South Pole. The only big jig saw we have is Miss November and believe me she hasn't got any bits missing! Daughter and hubby are poorly (don't you love that word - it's so English). They both have colds and are coughing all over the place, so touch wood I can escape the germs floating around the house. Julie - kitten is fine - none the worse for its adventure. Did you see our pet piggies on my pics on photo page? Aren't they cute? Well - hope everyone has a good day Catch you later Anna

Morning Wattlers Gee where has the last couple of days gone???? Seems like they have just dissappeared. Firstly I have made contact with a cousin on this site, my Great Grandfather is her Great Great Grandfather, so after sending emails back and forth we found out that we live in the same city and only a suburb away from each other, so she is going to come over to my place one night this week so we can go through our info we have. Yesterday I, along with 3 other friends went for a drive down to the NW coast to a place called Burnie, we have a friend who is in hospital and needed a bit of cheering up. She had a knee reconstruction and the pain killer tablets they put her on had adverse effects and she became very down with even suisidal thoughts, which isnt her. She is getting better as the medication wears off, but the docs say it will take a couple of months to get back to her cheery self. I woke this morning to the news on the radio and had to stop and think for a moment as a woman in our suburb aged in her forties won over $500,000 in Tattslotto on the weekend, then I had a let down as I realised it wasnt me :-((( But shebuys her ticket from the same place we buy ours. So hopefully the shop will still be lucky when it comes to my turn to buy the Lotto ticket. I havent read back on all the messages, I did check out some of the wierd names and yes I did have a look at mine thanks susyQ but I cant remember what it was. Anna glad you got your puta probs worked out quickly. Laurie you are probably already left for NZ. but if you have your lappy, which I assume you would, hope you have a nice time. Tony seems to be busy from reading a couple of messages, hope his daughter is getting along ok. Well today is a lovely sunny day, it has been for the last few days as well and expecting to be the same for the next couple of days at least. Will be back later. cheers Sue

***Shaz***

***Shaz*** Report 16 May 2006 03:07

Hi Wattlers Just received from a friend and couldnt resist adding Shaz In Pharmacology, all drugs have two names, a trade name and generic name. For example, the trade name of Tylenol also has a generic name of Acetaminophen. Aleve is also called Naproxen. Amoxil is also call Amoxicillin and Advil is also called Ibuprofen. The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin. Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of 'cocktails', 'highballs' and just a good old-fashioned 'stiff drink.' Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of: 'MOUNT & DO' Thought for the day: There is more money being spent on breast implants and Viagra today than on Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040, there should be a large elderly population with perky boobs and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of what to do with them.

Shazz - I'll never drink Mountain Dew again! Can't remember if one of you girls sent this to me or not - Alzeimers setting in quickly. So if you've heard it before - too bad. If you haven't - enjoy! Dave and Mabel celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Says Mabel - 'Dave, Let's recapture the passion of our youth on our 50th wedding anniversary.' So they stripped off and sat at the breakfast table naked. Says Mabel 'Dave - my nipples are still as hot for you as they were when we were on our honeymoon.' Says Dave - 'I'm not surprised Mabel - your leftie is dangling in your cup of tea.' Off to the naughty corner :>) Anna

Afternoon Warblers Anna....isn't that strange...I had a virus protector on here which started & ended in N and I had no end of trouble. Crashing, freezing, 'illegal' messages....it was driving me crazy. I eventually took the thing off and have had no trouble since. Mark had it on the lap-top and he was having trouble too. I guess we know what brand not to buy in future. Healing thoughts for Chris and your daughter. Colds at this time of year seem to hang around for ages. Hi Sandra in the Gong........Graeme & I did the Sydney bridge climb several years ago. It wasn't too strenuous and well worth the effort. The view from on top is breath-taking. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. Shaz... pmsl reading your post. You know the old saying....'A mountain man loves mountin' women'. I did battle with the long carpark this morning. Had to pick Mark up from Bundall at 8:00am and it took me 55mins to get there. The trafic through the road works is soooo slow. I don't know how people put up with it every day. Mark then conned me into stopping off at the local aquarium to buy a light for the tank. The fact we also came home with several new fish is a minor point. We put the new light on the tank and it looks good. We can now see all the new fish we bought haaa haaa. Gotta go.........Graeme is yelling out for directions. We are working on the new papyrus feature today and he wants help with the bath. See ya later. ~~~~~~waves to everyone love Trifley

Good afternoon Wattlers, I have just sent an email to Tony, starting to get worried now, hope that he is alright. Glad you enjoyed the F**t Joke Lew. A bit sick but funny. It must be great to have something on the ex wife. Funny, but I got on with his ex better than he did, but she was a problem to us. For years we didn't have any money, it all went on the girls. The more she got the more she wanted. What lovely daughters you have, and talented, writing poetry ( clean at that ). Trifley, where do you go for the papyrus. I have some in my pond that we got from the lily farm at Canungra. My pond now has a slow leak and we can't spare the water to keep topping it up, so we are thinking of filling it in. Are you going to put some fish in your pond. It's a must to keep the mosquito's away. Julie Cat, good luck with your kitten. Ours, now 20 months old has decided that she prefers to go out at night and sleep all day. Before we got her she lived in a unit and had never been outside. We get her in before we go to bed, but she always gets me up about 2.30 to go out. I have removed a fly screen from a window and I leave it open for her to get back in, otherwise she screams under the bedroom window at about 4.30am. Lara, is your son doing alright now, is he home? Also, how is your nephew, I often think of him. We haven't had any rain yet, and not much sign of any. I am going now to do some more filing. Love SuzyQ
