Good Morning Wattlers and may you all have a wonderful day. Sunny again in Mudgee with a slight breeze. Shazz, I'm so pleased you had a great birthday. It sounds like you had a brilliant day with lots of celebrating - just the way it should be. Have been watching the FNQ weather - not very nice. All those poor people losing not only their homes, but their livelihood. Special thoughts for them today. How were those curried sausages, Tony? Made me salivate just reading about them! And Trifely, bet you enjoyed that Polly Waffle. Yum! Well, suppose I better get some work done, otherwise they might sack me! (please, please, pick me, pick me!!!) Lew Lew xxx

Hi all you mad mob... Sorry havent been on lately but have been in a place with no putas.. am trying to convert them and may have been a little succesful and hope the next visit they may have a puta... Auckland was great and I managed to catch up by phone with our lovely Christine there. Some will remember her from the old thread. She is just as lovely and I was sorry I could not catch up with her personally but I will do my best on the next visit. I am sorry I am late in wishing Shazz a happy birthday and by the sounds of it you had a great day, so good fro you.. I was sorry to hear that Rebs has left. She has helped me with lookups and I am very greatful to her. Her sence of humour was a relief and a great source of amusement, and I will miss her. Hope she returns soon.. I will be home in a few days and will try and catch up with all the news then.. sorry I cant now as this puta is on dial up and I am holding up the phone line.. Love to you all Love Maryxxx

Hi there, I've been around but just reading and tidying emails. Think I ate something that disagreed with me (or else it was the water) on the weekend, so have stayed home today and taking things slowly. Has been quite cloudy and cool but sun coming out now. Will be having the first fire soon if this keeps up :) Tradition says that you shouldn't start your fire before ANZAC day but in the 12 years we have been here I have had a fire waaaaaay before then. One year it was in FEB!! Vonny :)

Afternoon Wattlers, Bit quiet today isn't it. Nice to see you on here Mary - will be nice when you are back home and can hop on anytime. Oooohhh Vonny - isn't it cold - had to wait 40 minutes for a bus this morning as the 8.30 was a no-show and I wished I had grabbed a jacket instead of cardigan - that will do my cold no end of good - lol Bet if I hit the on switch the gas would start but shall resist the temptation and just put some more layers on tonight. Hope you're feeling better soon - I always take water with me when we go on hols - well I still can't drink Adelaide water and just so used to our nice Canberra water that I feel safer doing that. Hi to everyone else - hope you're all having a good day. Catch you later, Gwenda ~~~~~ waving

Hi Wattlers, Good to hear from you Mary, you must be having a great time. Hope John is holding up well. Shazz, glad you had a memorable birthday. 28 is a nice age, my next birthday I will be 29, I think. Hope you are feeling okay today Donna, it's such a sad time for you. Vonny, where do you live, that sounds good to me, lighting a fire in Feb. It's a bit cooler here today and it keeps trying to rain. Rain is forecast this week so we are keeping our fingers crossed. Just heard, Brad Pitt is boxing for Australia. How about Kathy Watt. She did really well to come back at 41 and get the silver. You really get pulled in with the games, it's hard to leave the TV and I am not really a very sporty person. Even Neville gets glued to the set and he is less sporty than me. I do hope those in north Queensland don't get hit by another cyclone. It would be just too much for them. I wonder how much support they will get from Indonesia? Probably about as much as new Orleans got. Sorry to sound so negative, it's one of those things that make me angry. On a lighter note, has anyone heard from Laurie? I hope every thing is well with her and that she has found lots of new dead people. I have just found a new site with some of my tree on it and it looks like I may be getting my John's mixed up. Why do family's tend to stick with one name. It would be nice to find an Apple or a Fifi Trixiebell in there some where LOL I need to get out all my paperwork and sort them out. Don't you just hate that. Thanks for the sites Tony, I will get round to looking when I sort the rest of the family out. I must go now, catch up later SuzyQ

Hi All Just popping in for a quick hello. Tony - I'm cooking curried sausages tonight! Good to hear from you Mary - glad you're having a grand time. Vonny - hope your indisposition improves soon. Fancy thinking about a fire - we are still sleeping with the fan on here - but tomorrow our airconditioning gets installed!! Whoopeeee! Hi Suzie Q - the games are addictive - and aren't our athletes doing so well! Thanks for the hilarious messages! Glad to hear you had a good birthday Shazz - you were spoilt - should be more of it! Hi Lew - hope you are cracking the whip in the naughty corner - now there's a thought - a whip could be a handy addition! Thanks to all of you who have sent your kind thoughts to me re M I L. The funeral is in Brisbane on Thursday. Of course, ex will be there so it's a situation fraught with emotional undercurrents while keeping a cool exterior!!! We had a lot of contact during the 2 years our son was dying from cancer so we are really very civil to one another. His wife and I are even on hugging terms! Enough of all that! His mother was a very dear and beautiful lady and I will miss her very much. Have a good evening all. That is actually how M I L answered the phone at night - 'Good Evening' - bless her. Anna

Hi all - Suzy-in-Qld - if anyone had heard from Laurie - it would have been me, and I havent had a peep. Apparently when I texted her to ring Honey Rum (twice) - and left a msg on here, - all I heard was that she wasnt using that cell phone any more and I think she said she'd been in touch with Honey Rum - tho HR says she didnt hear from her (maybe I got confused there) - Laurie said she'd be in touch on another cell - and I've heard nothing. I'm sure she'd be ok. She promised to leave me her itinerary, but in the rush, she forgot - so I dont know where she is at the moment. - anyway - no news is good news. Today I heard my ex mother in law (93) passed away in hospital in Perth - Sunday night I arrived home from my daughters father in law's funeral in NSW to learn that my cousins partner had died in Melbourne!!!! Where will it all end. My ex is suffering from severe depression (here in NSW) - so I sure dont know how he is going to handle things when he gets to Perth. Tony - me mate - got your email and understand perfectly!! Whoever mentioned putting a fire on at night - dare I mention that I put a cardigan on last night, and then had the elecky blanket on for a little while (previous night I'd had the fan on to keep cool!!!) I have to starve after midnight tonight - having a blood test in the morning iin my town, and then an ultra sound in another town 40 minutes away - which means I wont be able to eat till after 11am ..... poor me~ Jood

Afternoon Wattlers. Luvley day in Melb. and a warm one. All this talk of fires, and heaters, Electric blankets is making me feel hot...lol We have the O/head fans on at the moment.....and still a few warm days heading our way. Just had a hairy ( Hair cut )...it was a freebie...:>)) so feel 10 years younger...................to bad the body dosen't correspond with the mind.....hee hee Nice to hear from Mary. Hope your well mate. Well, it appears we still have 10 starters for the Wattlelotto...and i have received everyones email......cept.. Gwenda's A few suggestions have been made, and i will have to re-fine a few things to make sure if we do hit the big one ( eventually ) we are not slugged by the heavy's ( Govt. ) and also a good idea, if we should happen to strike a 3rd divy of $1000 or better we take 10% out and buy 5 more tickets, then divy up the rest. Anyway.......I'm sure we will work out something and we can make it up as we go along. Give it a trial run first.....to see how we go, if that suits. Joodles. Hope all goes well for you to-morrow mate, with the blood test and ultra sound. Take care. x Anna. Enjoy ya curried sausages tonight....Yum When we have ours, we gotta sit with a cupla glasses of cold water........ha ha Both Barb and I have very hot & spicy taste buds. We are doing so well in the Commonwealth games. It must be so boring for other Countries to keep hearing our National anthem playing all day long.....LOL I'm surprised the early morning traffic is very quite at the moment around Melb, but then realised its School Holidays here in Melb, and many families may have headed out of Town. ( Not everyone likes sport i guess ) Lew lew. ...lol Sorry to use your name in the Lotto letter mate..hee hee but everytime i see your name on GR...i keep wanting to break into that song i play on Guitar. Singing: ( meant as a compliment ) You can bring Ted with a bottle of red, but don't bring Lew lew. You can bring Nell cos she's real swell , but dont bring Lew lew Lew lew always wants to do, what the..la... la....:>)) Well time for Tea. Chicken Kiev tonight.....with garlic.( drool ) Tomato, beetroot, taties, corn, peas,& beans. Ooops.....Sorry Joodles, you not allowed to eat to-night, so i might just have bread and water to sympathise with Joodles. ( cough ) Hi to everyone else. Tony Oz. :>)) ps. I will put our 1st Lotto on. ( to-morrow or thursday.) and send it off to all.

Evening Wattlers We had a nice day in sunny old Qld today. Not much in the way of humidity, thank god. I have a new twig on my tree.....yayyy. My gt niece delivered a beautiful bouncing baby girl last Saturday. Breeanna was 24ins long and weighed 8lbs. I hear she is as cute as a button. Of course, my sister could be a little prejudiced as it is her gt granddaughter lol. Some of you who might remember the saga of the damaged wheel. My fight with the supplier and the freight company ended with our son finally getting his new wheel yayyyyy! The 4 new wheels are now attached and he is heading off this Friday for a 3 day rally in Coffs Harbour with 79 other Subaru Forresters. He is one happy young man. This proves.........you don't argue with a mother when her kids are concerned! Joodles....... hope the blood test and ultra sound go ok. Will be thinking of you. To all those not feeling the best keep taking plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest. Healing thoughts heading your way. To all the rest of you wonderful people........big hugs 'till I talk to you next time. Trifley.

Hi Everyone Happy belated birthday Shaz. I am glad you had a good day. Anna - my condolences to you. Hope Thursday will be okay for you. Tony - could I also be in the Lotto please. Hope I am not too late. Glad that your mum is getting better. Have just spent the last hour reading up the thread. I haven't been on GR as much as usual the last few weeks though when am still read this thread. It is a great thread, you are all really nice people. Hubby has been decorating as my daughter, husband and two granddaughters are coming for five days early in April. Haven't seen them for nearly a year. They live in the NT. Really looking forward to them arriving. Will be spoiling the girls and claiming grandparents privileges(sp). During the last week there has been a large festival in Goulburn of Heritage and Roses which gets bigger every year. Have been on the collective organising this festival for the last few years it has run and it was great to see so many visitors to Goulburn. Also part of the festival is Cathedral Week so I was very busy with that as there was something going on every day with that. We have some amazing heritage buildings here, some heritage buildings that don't normally open have started to open with this festival and it is really great to see. Best wishes everyone. Leah

Laurie - good to hear from you again - we thought you'd been locked up in the records office - not that you would mind I'm sure. Sorry to hear about the colds but they are doing the rounds here too - hope you're feeling better soon. I had contact from a family member just before I went to bed last night - seems we have the same grandfather - just that he's one generation down the line - trouble with having older parents. Hope he makes contact again. Off to get brekky - not going to work today - would end up coughing over the customers - would hate to give them my cold - even tho probably one of them coughed over me last week - lol Have a great day. Good Morning Wattlers and hope you are all fit and well. Hugs to all those who have lost loved ones (((O))). Another day in the office and a day closer to the house being finished. Pavers are currently paving around the fish pond, which has turned out slightly larger than expected. We're going to have to stock it with sharks just to fill it up! Anyway, it looks fantastic. Vanities are in, although the doors had to be returned as they were not sealed properly! Carpet goes down on Monday, then the builders want 2 days to do a thorough clean up (which I am very happy with). Have a great day and I'll chat with you all again soon. Lew Lew xxx
