lol!! Partridge season.....hehe!! Chris is going to drop by the LDS library today if she can. she thinks she found Georgianas birth on fiche there once before, but can't her notes on it. It's never been available to view in the IGI's.....bummer. I've also messaged someone who has quite a lot of Scottish research. She should be able to tell me what I might find on a Scot marriage cert of the time. Find out if it was JP's second marriage. I still think it slightly strange he never married until age 32, and then went back to Scotland to marry a cousin instead of marrying in London. And they never had children that I can find. God I hate being patient!! Not one of my virtues!! Chris said thanks for the images by the way I passed them on to her.

Morning Shazz. I'm a Paralegal. It's a lot like being Paralytic, but not as much fun!!!!!!! I've been going it for about 23 years and I think I'm over it! Anyone wanna job?????? Rebs, I subscribe to Ancestry Uk, so if you need anything, just let me know. That, of course, goes for everyone else. It's trying desparately to rain here in Mudgee, so keep your fingers crossed. *Big wave and cheesy grin to all* Lew Lew xxx

Anna Report 15 Mar 2006 02:04

Morning all Been to Doc and got my eye drops so the threads should be clearer from now on - thanks to all for your good wishes. Tony - milk sounds yuk! I'm with Shazz and go for the warm salty water. Maybe I've been reading too many filthy threads with offensive language and they have done my eyes in!!!!!! Had to laugh - was slotted in with one of the young doctors because my Doc was booked out and he says to me - 'You're over 60 now - you should get a flu shot'. Impertinent little twerp - as if I needed reminding of my senior status! Seems as if a number of us are in the wars either through illness or over induldgence of one sort or another!! Devly, Donna, Trifley and of course Rebs even though her malady was self inflicted.....! My best wishes to you all for a speedy recovery. Er Donna - what does CUWL stand for (I'll probably wish I'd never asked) but I can't see it on the abbreviation list. Seems as if Jana Pittman is doing her usual dummy spit. I think of Ian Thorpe, Grant Hacket, Libby Lenton and all those other inspiring young Australians too numerous to mention who are humble and excellent ambassadors for their country - and then you have Ms Pittman behaving like the nauseating drama queen that she is and she reallly spoils it for all the other great kids out there. Jana - get over it! Dish washer self destructed. So - any recommendations for dishwashers? Ours is a Bosch - 13 years old - and it has been OK but has needed some repairs during its life. Hubby is all for one of those Fischer Paykel double drawer models but I've got to have a good look at it to see how many saucepans and casserole dishes etc you can fit in. Still await further news on MIL - thanks again for your thoughts. Have a good day everyone Anna

Anna, glad to hear your eyes are getting better. Did lol about your reading the threads causing the damage! Dishwasher - Miele!!! Highly recommended. Had one in the place we just sold and am having one installed in the new house. They are absolutely silent. Currently living in our serviced apartment which has a Fisher & Paykel and its bloody noisy. I hate it. I've nothing against F & P, 'cause my fridge, freezer, washing machine and clothes dryer are F & P. Hope this information helps. Lew Lew (who is still working on a new identity) xxx

Arvo Wattlers. O/cast in Melb. ( no rain.....YET )...lol Hope everyone will be watching the thrilling, marvellous, exciting opening Ceremony tonight on tele at 8:00 pm ( Melb time ) Anna....Shaz. Me granny was a nurse, and bathed our eyes open with warm milk when we got conjunctivitis as kids. Gran was born and brought up in Ajmere, India 1870s ( near the Himalayan mountains ) and used to tell us milk had healing properties... ( maybe an old wives tale...???? ) but ive never had it since ( conjunctivitis ) and none of my kids ( as adults ) either.....so who knows!! She had very many strange home made herbal recipe's, that she used to feed us kids, and i still use some of them today. My first wife ( Carolyn ) and i ran a health food shop in Mitcham.1980s and herbal remedies were the go,( Blackmores ) and if ya wanna really get rid of the cold n' flu and sore throat symptoms, then get some of this into you.....Echinacea tablets, ( unless you are allergic to it ) also,....get lots of Ginseng, Garlic, Ginger, Fenel and sprinkle it on ya Weeties.....lol Good stuff.....:>)) Well its time for a V.B tablet....:...Yuk! i hate my medicine...lol Bottoms up....Tony Oz..:>))

Afternoon All It is a cool 20 degrees today and expecting rain tomorrow, we have pulled the oil filled portable heaters out from under the house so they are ready if and when we need them. My cold is still hanging around but gradually getting better, but Dannielle had a bout of gastro yesterday, seems ok today but David woke up with the runs this morning so he had a day off work with it. Its Davids birthday tomorrow so he didnt work his holiday out too good did he lol. Anna I totally agree with you when it comes to pitiful Pittman. David said that to fix her knee prob, they should cut it off at neck level rofpmsl. I hope things keep going well for m.i.l. Shazz yes as soon as I get rid of this cold I will be having my flu jab and I think my pneumonia jab is due as well. I have to have them ever since I had my heart turn 4 & 1/2 years ago. But I still got Pneumonia last year so I'm being real careful this year, hoping I dont get it again. Tony yes I will be watching the opening ceremony tonight, but I have to also tape it as Tamika has decided she would like to go and see what Army Cadets is all about, as a friend at school is a member, so I will miss a bit of it when I go to pick her up. Hope everyone who has been unwell is starting to get better and everyone else keeps well. Catch you later. Cheers Sue

Tony that vitamin tablet you take (VB) wont really work unless your body needs it. (Thats what I was told) - Alright - how about telling us of the other alternative medicines your granny tried on you? Will be watching the games tonight (opening) - will probably feel very patriotic and proud. No doubt you will be making sure you are healthy Tony and taking plenty of vitamin tablets again to keep up your strength. Im off to a family funeral tomorrow - well its on Friday, but I got a bit of a drive, so will be away two nights. Please dont talk too much you guys, tho I will take my laptop and try and keep up with you. The bonus of the few days away is that I get to see my Bendigo grandkids again. Wooohoooooooooo! Jood

Trifley Report 15 Mar 2006 05:20

Afternoon waffle Wattlers I'm feeling a little more normal now. Thanks for all your good thoughts & wishes, I'm sure they made me feel better. Joodles....I'm practicing for my holiday to Norfolk Island in September. 10 days of duty free shopping mingled with cemetery crawling. I was there 32 years ago but wasn't interested in genealogy then........just duty free grog heee heee. I saw a grave stone with the same surname as my mums family but (foolishly) didn't take a photo. Now I have to go back and look see if it is a long lost rel (and do some duty free heee heee). Hubby thinks he is going just for a holiday (poor misguided darling :o)). I had to retrieve this thread from page 6......must be a quiet day in Oz cyberspace. Not possible to answer all the posts (I DID read them all) so will just say I hope you are all well and happy and busy with your various lives. One thing tho'........I made a quick visit to the 'corner' and I think we should put in a development application to council for extensions. (One way to get builders with sweaty bodies to visit) The bloody place is becoming sooooo popular (particularly with our pommie friends) that it is getting crowded. Just a suggestion. I toss it in the air for general comment. See y'all later. Big wave and hugs to all the gang. Trifley

Afternoon Yellow bloomers Hi to everyone (cause I know I'm going to leave lots out) Good grief you lot I've been away from the puter 4 days and you have managed 13 pages! Its taken me nearly all day to catch up - most of the time PMSL. Ken kept calling out 'what are you laughing at?' Rebs couldn't find your green men - has some dipstick deleted them too? (sorry if it was you) Went back 6 pages. couldn't believe some nutter complained about your very legitimate 'tourism thread' (lol), the idiot is not worth worrying about. Couldn't find fred's thread either. Lew Lew you sound like you had a ball with the shopping, love the sound of the charcoal and purple. Very modern and swish, the house sounds wonderful looking forward to the pics. Anna best wishes to you MIL. Hope she is on the mend. Trifely hope you are enjoying food again - and you get a big pass on your results (sorry couldn't resist double entendre!) Sorry everyone else after reading all the pages I can't begin to make a comment. Youngest son is complaining about all the bloody (oops) tourists clogging up the trains took 2 hours to get home from uni yesterday. Told him (with a smirk) probably will get worse (she who doesn't have to go anywhere near Melbourne to get to work!). He is not in my good books at the moment - he went out Sat night got legless apparently - lost his mob phone, car and house keys and one lens out of his glasses (?) , got a taxi from the venue to his mates place and then walked home - lost the items on the walk. I would call it a very expensive night out! Anyway must away will catch you all tomorrow - (hopefully wont have 13 pages to catch up on first) want to get dinner over so I can watch opening ceremony ( but going to defect for an hour to watch House (just love Hugh Laurie's humour). Waves and blows kisses Judy YV

heads are going to bloody well roll soon, and it aint gonna be mine!!! LewLew, after you found the Steains on '51 yesterday, I went and added place of birth for Georgiana, and changed a year of birth for second in line. Also added England as country of birth since these peeps were transferred from GR's old tree program, and the country wasn't listed. Went back earlier to look at something and the whole thing has gone FUBAR!!! Well not only were any of the changes saved, and i know I had to click save before I moved onto the next individual, but there was no sign of Georgiana. Henry was married to Henry. Changed one of the Henries, and then Georgiana was married to Georgiana. I have had to delete the entire branch of the family so I can delete one of the Henrys and change him back to the right name and sex. Aaarrrggghhhh!!!!!! NOT HAPPY JAN!!!

Hiya Jude 3. Sorry about all the prattling! We just couldn't help ourselves. Not good news about your son! When I first read it, I thought 'how could he lose his car' but on re-reading I see that it was only the keys. Thought, boy he was plastered, lol. Have a great time at the Opening Ceremony Tony. I bet it will be spectacular. We await your report. Boy, Sue, I hope your family get over all their ailments in a hurry. Nothing worse than a sick husband! Sorry to hear about the loss of a twig from your family tree, Jood. But you're right, at least it's an opportunity to see the grandkids. Not even going to attempt to say hi to everybody individually. I'd grow old in the process!!!! lol. Love to you all. Princess Lew Lew xxx (I feel that as the Queen is here, I needed a Title and Queen Lew Lew would be over the top (not like me!!!))

Oh god!! I'm gonna cry. The system won't let me delete Henry. even though there is only one child left. I was able to change him back to Georgiana without both of them changing, but now Georgiana is the daughter of James Steains and wife. Where in the hell did her parents go??? they are no longer on the tree at all. And sure as hell I didn't delete them. And how in the hell did they become siblings instead of spouses??

Lewella Report 15 Mar 2006 06:52

Calm down Rebs, this has got to be fixable. Now is your Tree only on here or have you downloaded into another programme? L

Unknown Report 15 Mar 2006 07:03

i exported the gedcom about a month ago, but I have added heaps to the tree since then, so they'll get lost if I import again. Found Georgianas parents, but they're floating around without any connections. When I click on Henry, all is as it should be. son of James and Sarah, wife Georgiana, son Henry. But....when i click Georgiana, she is the daughter of James and Sarah and Henry is the son in law. The system won't let me delete either of them, although you should be able to delete one parent if there is only one child. I don't want to have to delete son Henry, cause that line comes all the way down to me.
