Hi - Patricia Steele from Qld - are you the person Lara has been looking for? Where are you in Qld???? A quiet night here in Springwood - nearly bedtime. Been busy jumping from one thread to another - (only family history related tho) although I was trying to help a girl find her family here in my town, but sadly they have moved. I would have loved to have been able to tell her I'd found them. Jood

Good grief!! Went out for a few hours and the wattlers have had an attack of verbal diarrhoea!! I think everyone is so excited about the return of the lost souls and the new faces popping in!! Hello everyone!! Rebs - the proposed date is fine by me - I'm very flexible!! Clingon will probably come down with me but I'll send him packing so no need to include him in numbers. Hope everyone has fingers and toes crossed for tomorrow night! Cheers Anna

Hi Wattlers, Has taken ages to read all the pages. have been playing Florence Nightingale ( except the syphilis bit ) this evening. Just got home from work when my elderly neighbour rang and said she had had to come home from her few days away as she was unwell and could i come over. She has a tummy upset and I think just wanted some company, poor old soul doesn't have any close family. I have the weekend off and plan to load Legacy tomorrow. I love this program, but have had some probs with updates . Jood i do have the paid one and did update from the button at top of screen. The people who make it couldn't find what had gone wrong with my prog, but agreed that there is definetly a glitch somewhere, so am still a bit nervous, as you all know sooo much work can go into and onto the computer that i don't want to b****r it up. I have been speaking with one of their experts ( and you know that an ex is a has been and a spert is a drip under pressure ) who says I need to totally delete any files that have to do with Legacy before i reload this new one, so keep your fingers crossed for me. Laurie, welcome home, i am looking forward to the reports on the giraffs Rebs good to see you back, stick with us, no meanies here. Tony, you really are a talented man, how lucky is Barb, to have a man who can sing to her and quote poetry, even if the one you started sounded a bit dodgey lol. Hi to everyone, too many to mention, hope you all have a good weekend. Take care Wilson

Evening all, I've spent hours reliving the trip getting the photos filed away onto discs . . . enjoy putting the captions on as I go, poor Debs I must have clogged up her puter as i sent as I went thru them. I am haveing second thoughts about Yarra meet and Tony & Ray, could get a bit uhummm what with Ray being as old sailor and being partial to the old bawdy sea shanty. He finished off your poem for you Tony . . . . . No Rebs Ray wont be with me in Qld, someone has to work and earn the money for me to have holidays. But then again he could be missing me and head up for the weekend. How sweet and innocent did our Rebs ask if she could have 1500 . . . 1 less praline flake !!! Off to bed cheers all for now luv Laurie

Evening Waffle Wattlers I've been practising our song for the Brissie meet and I'll have you know, Vonny, my voice dosen't sound any better here than it does in the 'Corner'........bugger! I took time to add a couple of photos on the GCphotopage. One is of Mark's car and THOSE wheels! The other is of some of the cars which went to the rally. He had a wonderful time and came back exhausted. Hi Joodles.........I think I must be the only one on the thread who doesn't follow football. I don't mind car racing tho', particularly Formula 1. Lew Lew our family motto is 'Never do anything unless you can do it to excess' ....that's why i like the people on this thread. Rebs........I asked my Klingon if he wanted to come to the meet and he said he thought he'd better work that weekend. Isn't he a darling.....working to earn money so I can play up with you lot? Thanks for organising things for us. I'm tootling off to bed now.....had an early start and i'm a bit tired. See you all tomorrow. ~~~~~~~~waves from the royal barge to everyone love Trifley, Queen of the Nile

And a happy April Fools Day to you all! I have been sucked in already!! Local paper had a big picture of a lemon on page 3 and said it had introduced new technology to enable advertisers to add a smell to the product they were advertising. So of course I scratched the lemon didn't I ... read a bit further and they posed the question about what would be a good smell for April Fools Day!! So - hope you all have your wits about you!! Trifley - are you a soprano? I'm an alto so I think we should sing the song in parts - it would be really moving...!! Tonight's the night - time for everyone to make their dreams come true - huge TV's, world travel, electrical devices etc etc - it will all be within our grasp!! Bring it on!! Lew - thinking of you today and hope it's not raining at Mudgee Palace. Hope you've got your valium and a hip flask at the ready. Trifley, Joodles - I occasionally watch Rugby League with OH - our Qld Cowboys won last night - but the other codes are a complete mystery to me I have to confess. Quick riddle for the 1st of the month: Q. What is the definition of macho? A. Jogging home from your vasectomy. Shall leave you with that thought! Cheers Anna PS If you want a laugh, read the 'How women take a shower' thread on the general boards...hilarious!!
