Hi again. Lem – still nice to meet you again tho, and Edith, popping in from Canada thread, (I pop into your thread now and again. I’ll certainly look up that shopping center and drool over it ! Laurie, yes Cheri & I did indeed visit St Martin in the fields church when we were there in 98. I take it you found nothing on our infamous Goring family – and only succeeded with Parks & Goodfellow??? Good luck to you anyway. One of these days we will get some info on the Goring family that has never been found before. At the moment, all our ancestor did was get sued in court for something (in the 1800’s) – bless him ! Oh, we are going on the QE 2 now – to the UK and Canada???? Goodie goodie *claps hands* Jood

Afternoon Wattlers, Welcome back Mary, & Laurie from their travels, and especially to Rebs - back from the wilderness of exile. Sorry haven't been on here since last Saturday - (maybe this week we will be lucky with our lotto. ) Have been flat chat at work. And I have kept looking at the clock and it seems be whizzing around the hours far too fast. Had a deadline on a quilt, so have been up until 1.00am - 4 nights in a row. I get cranky with less than 6 hours sleep, its not a good time of the month, we are lagging behind building a wall at the cottage and the roofer is getting antsy, and have a visitor arriving Monday to talk family history ( 2nd cousin from Brisbane - who I found on GR) plus all the other associated garbage that goes with juggling house, garden, family upsets and work (notice I put work last!). So I haven't wanted to inflict myself on anyone - let alone you nice lot. Hopefully will be in a better mood tomorrow - Ken certainly hopes so. lol. Good luck with the move Ms Mudgee - how many weeks has it been dry? and mother nature decides to turn this weekend. congrats to Tony and Barb on the pending arrival. (wistful sigh - think I'm destined to 'borrow or adopt' someone else's grandchild) Will try to drop in tomorrow, if I don't get back -have a great weekend - waves and smile and keep everything crossed for the right numbers on Saturday night Jude 3

Hi everyone, It's nice to have you back Rebs and you too Laurie. Hope you are both rested up and raring to go. Wilson, I also have Legacy and I like it. I just download new bits from the site and I haven't had any trouble. Lara, Is it Cilla that you are trying to think of from mackay area? She pops in from time to time, but i haven't seen her for a while. Hope she is okay. Trifley, Doesn't ironing a glass of wine go together. A friend of mine needed a bottle to get through hers. Devily, Did I hear right, snow forecast inTassie today. We have had some lovely rain today with thunder and lightning, but it seems to be clearing up now. It is also very cold. I may have to put my track pants on. A light aircraft has crashed today, at McGregor, just south of Brisbane. Neville has had to go up there today, luckily not too near. Those light aircraft really frighten me. One of our neighbours has put in a runway and planes are landing and taking off all weekend, and they fly right over our house. It is illegal what they are doing, but even though the council keep issuing them with fines they still do it. We are guessing that the fines must be very low or the man must be very rich. It is a worry because if one does crash the insurance won't be valid. Why do some people think that the laws don't apply to them/ Rebs, the 10th of June is fine by me, but I will fall in with what suits every one else. We don't make long term plans any more. Just take every day as it comes. Well, catch up later Love SuzyQ

Arvo Wattlers.....and those lovely other people who wish they were. Rebs.........yaaayyyy! Back again! <<<<H>>>> and ~~~~~~waves from the Royal barge. Now we can get down to some serious talk about the Brissie meet in June. I'm fine for the 10th. Just let me know where & when. I think I'll still come up the night before so's I'm rested for the big day. Lemmon Nelly...Hi & welcome to the 'Club' Where abouts in Scotland are you? I hear the weather has been a little unpleasent lately. Don't worry...if you stick with this thread you'll have sunshine all the time:o) Hi Edith...welcome to you too. You also will enjoy the sunshine of our wacky lot. I don't think we've had a Canadian on here before, great to see you :o) Laurie........Had a good sleep? Glad to have you back. Hope Ray's chest inf. clears up soon. Loved your story about your gtgtgrandfather's records. The more info you find the more of a real person they become. Not just a name attached to a branch. I love the social history which goes with this tree climbing business. Now Anna....what is it with men and the size of things? lol. Mark (son) says a TV is only good if it's big..........men! Lets hope we win enough for your hubby to get his TV and something for you too :o) Aaaaggghhh........exercise class! OMG Joodles what happened to you? Are you going to turn up at Brissie looking all trim, taut & terrific? That's it........I'll have to go on a diet....bugger! Hi Peta.....a new printer these days IS often cheaper than getting an old one repaired. But then most new printers (even inexpensive ones) do lots more than the old ones. Have fun with it. What sort was it? Ow, poor Julie Cat.....sorry you feel worse. <<<<H>>>> and healing thoughts on their way to you. Get lots of rest and plenty of fluids. We have the first real autumn day here in Qld today. A good amount of rain and it is even a little cool. Poor Lew Lew....no rain for ages and then just when you are moving the skies open up. At least it is adding to your tanks, so not everything is bad. I DO hope your move goes well.........you don't want mud tracked through your nice new house. Fingers X X X for a fine day tomorrow. Have a great day my cyber-friends and I'll see you all later. <<<<HUGS>>>> and a ~~~~~~wave from me on the royal barge Trifley Queen of the Nile

Cor, Tony the troubadour !!! So that's how you bide your time sitting at the traffic lights in the city, writing little ditties !!! Love it !!! Judy YV I have been waitng for you to come back on, saw you on the telly the other night - there's a great ad for the Yarra Valley running in SBS at night around 6.30 pm before news or 7pm after the news, gorgeous scenery shots taken around the wineries- and there you are, hiding behind the wine barrels in that big shed down the hill !!! LOL I think it's the cutest ad and you are just great in it! Well where IS this rain, been waiting all week, it went around us and over us and to north and south, and we're still dry as chips. Feel so badly for people who are desperate. Lara I hope you get an email reply. I have found a third family tree related to mine using Ixquick now, so pleased, didn't find them with google. They've all been aussies ones too, second and third cuz'z etc, and I will never follow up with getting certificates etc, but nice to know the family names. I need to jaunt down to Wangaratta cemetery now to say g'day to a few I never knew were there!! Rebs, glad you're back, stick to wattlers and friends, apparantly we're planning a cruise to the Mall in Edmonton (better start saving my pennies...) Good Luck to those with Wattlelotto tickets. And finally, weren't those Eagles good last night (one tip correct!) Have a nice weekend everyone, Heather in Albury

Hello to all Wattlers, with a special wave to Rebs, well I'm back, tired and poor but it was a great week. My daughters and I have done women proud, we have shopped til we dropped. 14hrs of markets on tuesday and back in the shops wednesday from 10 til 3 leaving just enough time to run for the plane to come home. We all have new sneakers (several pairs) makeup, designer handbags and of course BLING. Just spent ages reading the messages I missed, all 7pages, so now I only have time for a quick 'Hi' and will catch up over the weekend. Good to see the other missing ones have returned and hope the sickies are feeling better. Tony love the anthem, you are so clever. Laurie ,saw your giraffes last sunday but you should see how many there are in HongKong harbour, thousands, all moving at once it was an amazing site. Some one mentioned the drive-ins, my youngest daughter and group of friends go to the Coburg drive-in every sunday night, but these days you cant escape with the speaker, you tune the car radio into get the sound-----thats taken all the fun away , we had quite a collection of speakers...lol Everything crossed for tomorrow night, I could go on the QE2 whenever it suits everyone else...lol GO CATS Bye til i catch up on some work Jude2

Lew Lew Idea for a motto - To be human is easy , to be a wattler sublime (the meaning of sublime according to dictionary is as follows: high spiritual, moral or intellectual worth, inspiring and impressive, not to be excelled: supreme) I think all of that applies to my fellow wattlers. Heather haven't seen the advert on SBS will have to take a look, I can assure you if it was me in the ad you all would have known about it! lol. Hope it shows the valley in good way. But if nothing else the plonk is good drinking. jude 3

Hi Jetsetting Jude great to have you back - you did us proud at the shops by the sound of it. Glad its your husband who is going to pay the visa bill - lol. Mine would be likely to have a seizure its bad enough when he says all thats on the bill is my 'hobbies' - (in a whisper - little does he know!) Loved the motto Rebs - perhaps a kareoke bar would be a good idea for the qld meet up - you could practise the anthem without being thrown out - lol and then put the motto into practice lol jude 3
