I'm a cheese lover,but not of milder cheeses..the stronger the better for me.
Same here Julie I am supposed to cut out cheese cos of Cholesterol levels.

Mine has kept goin up though Tabitha so I have to have it at least doin the down direction by end of April---Fave foods Cheese and Chocolate and cream sauces, oh and Cream cakes :-(

Try eating porridge for breakfast its good for lowering Cholesterol

Or get the doc to put you on Statins. You still have to watch the fats though

I agree Porridge is good and wholegrain bread - a cream cake once a month and a small piece of chocolate at a time

Unless your cholesterol levels are very high, I'd avoid Statins in tablet form, stick to your diet regime. There are statins in certain yoghurts, which are supposed to help lower one's levels.
If you don't like porridge.. I find it stodgy......., try muesli with bananas.

Hi all,
yes I do like porride but with loads of golden syrup and cream on lol, I am forcing myself to have it with just sugar, Doc hasnt given me tablets Sandie. which yoghurts have natural Statins in to help me as I love yoghurt. Muesli will make a change.

Sorry Julie.... I just read back and saw that you asked about yoghurt's with statins. Thinking cap on !!! It will come to me..eventually. Hubby may know.:)

Got it...Benacol is one , but there is another.

It is best to adjust your diet accordingly,I'm sure you practise nurse will advise.
