I was cream crackered yesterday (Saturday) after our Lodge 'do' and the Sausage Sizzle :-D

Double demerits for driving offences started on friday and they last until after New Year. As well as double demerits, all fines are also doubled.

This is the first year that the firm have had SS during the week, which is why we chose Friday as most people would have got used to the idea. Up until lunch time it eas steady but even then there were bursts of activity. We had one period when about five people all wanted five or six buns, which depleted our supply of cooked sausages.

I'm glad that it is not next week. Temps over 30c forecast for the entire week. Up in the North of WA temps are forecast of 45c+. Total fire ban throughout this state and some eastern states as well

Yesterday was K/A Black Friday here ,with it being most peeps last day in work before Xmas ,son didn't go out with his work colleagues,there's only 3 now where he is and they are all spread about. ( rest being in Bracknell Cardiff or abroad ).
But he went out with his mates, the town was teeming with Police cars and vans when my dau went to pick him up at 1.30am.
She couldn't see him in the crowds ,but didn't want to phone him without parking up ( which was a bit of a prob ) cos it as offence to use your phone in the car ,even if stationary and was concerned that the police may book her !
He found her quite quickly tho :-) so arrived home dry and quite sober ! ( it was lashing it down weather-wise, but he didn't lash the booze down !! )

lol Geordie, I'm not a lover of the heat either. Last couple of weeks (ignoring some freaky storms) has been ideal Day temps about 25-26c and coolish nights.

Sandie, I have a strict rule that as much as I like my alcohol, when I go to a function, and I'm driving, I stick with water. I used to get a few comments but just ignore them
