In the beginning when I first started haveing hot flushes and they were really bad , every body at work would say lucky you not having to go through the monthlie's ( work mates terms) and the stomach pains, etc
I said I will swop you any time. I was so fed up of feeling on fire and feeling panicky,
Now they have calmed down , I am quite glad I don't have the monthlies but only complain about the hot flushes at night.

Sorry ladies tichy me don't have problems with my bits only thing I hate is when there's a river running in between them sometimes. that I go and have a wash down.

I'm off to bed now bits and all.
Annx I hope your feel more comfortable when you do manage to hang them up on the back of the door. don't forget to collect them in the morning, lol!!!!

Boo Hoo.....I was tichy too once Fiona, had a 22inch waist (have kept one old skirt to remind me lol). I was always sporty at school and at age 35 was still playing badminton with a top local team. Always had to eat like a mouse even then though.........and now I don't do all that exercise!!!!!!

Yes flushes can make you feel a bit panicky at first.....feels as if something else is about to happen, but you don't know what. I had bad monthlies, a migraine a few days before and heavy painful ones. I had a fibroid lasered in my 40s after spending £30 some months on STs and tampons. HRT was my saviour then until I got an ovarian cyst and I had a hysterectomy and they found extensive endometriosis. I wasn't surprised.
The surgeon was very helpful and warned me some women can sail through these things and that others are devastated. I told him I would have to make sure I concentrated on sailing then and all the positives!! We got on well and I sent him an Xmas card that year!!! To be honest I was just so glad the cyst wasn't malignant, that was all that really mattered.

There used to be funny names for monthlies didn't there like.......time of the month, I've got visitors......or the painters are in!!! lol

Well, that's it.....I've finally lost my marbles......just went to ring the bank and 'dialled' the numbers into this keyboard!!!!! lol

to many things on your mind all at once, I did that the other day I put my teabags (herbal) in the jar where my OH puts his normal tea bags, unfortunaltly my Teabags are round and Tetley Tea bags are the same, OH was not very happy when he poured tea from the tea pot and it was rosehip red LOL!!!
I don't use a pot I make my tea in a mug.

I have been having a chuckle reading these posts.Mum would say have you got your 'friends'.I remember when I was about 11/12 she had bought a pack of Dr Whites and put them on top of the wardrobe in my bedroom .All she said was you will need these one of these days!!!!!!!!!! Didn't explain why or anything lol

hello ladies,just dropped by for a catch up on all your posts.At least it helps to know I am not the only one going through all this nonsense lol.
I'm still getting hot flushes every half hour and am fed up with it.
At least today the weather is a little cooler as we had rain all through the night and it is overcast today.Never thought I would be wishing for cold weather lol xxx

cut up a huge water melon into chunks and chilled it in the fridge.It is like nectar during those tropical moments lol

I like the sound of that Paula.Not sure I have seen any water melons around though.Will check out Tes** next time I go.

I have been known to 'hover' and 'linger' over the refrigerated foods in the open cabinets at supermarkets on hot days or in those 'tropical' moments Paula. A fridge in the bedroom sounds good to me!! lol

I always think it is funny in the freezer isles,and I think I'm in heaven and others are saying Brrrrr it's cold here lol

Hi everyone had a busy day. so I am just manageing to say hello before I make some tea.
Dad lost his key's so I spent a good 1/2 hour loking for them after he'd gone out this morning I didn't find them.
Then met up with some friends for a coffee, then got home and found the washing machine is broken so after lunch took my washing up to dad's in a taxie and used his machine.
While waiting for the washing I went through every drawer, wardrobe cupboard and finely found his keys, thank goodness!!!!

Like you Jane , I haven't seen any good water melons in the shops only Honeydew and they are pretty small.
I love water Melon so I'd be very intrested to know where Paula buy's them.

Fiona ,have you thought of getting a load of spare keys cut and giving them to your dads neighbours .Mum was always losing hers especially when she was out .There was always someone in her road that could let her in as they all had a spare lol

Dad's nieghbours are all elderly so I am not sure they are very reliable
The daycentre do have a set of spare keys, and my next door neighbour has a spare set of my key's which have dad's on too.
OH doesn't want to hand out key's to anyone and dad would make a scene if he knew anyone else had a key.

I have keys to my next door neighbours so that I can check on her if necessary and she can have the door locked at all times. Have keys for a friend down the rd in case he locks himself out or is ill. My sisters keys for the same reason.

Spare keys were a necessary thing with Mum.She didn't know all these people had keys ,but it gave me peace of mind to know someone could let mum in or let themselves in if needed.
I'M HAVING A BIG SWEAT RIGHT NOW lol.First in a few days.Just off to sit in the garden to try and cool off .
