Happy Birthday Jane, hope you have a lovely day!

Sorry ladies that I've not been on for a while, seems ages, but have had lots of visitors, they must smell the barbie going!!

We're having a few rumbles of thunder and a drop of rain, boy do we need it it's so hot and sticky!

Your son had a lucky escape Jane, could have been nasty with his eye.

Hi Family searcher
yes I remember the bumps , you always knew you would get them the minute you walked into the playground. thank goodness they mainly stopped when I got to high school , I went to an all girls school and it wasn't lady like (headmistress saying) to give the bumps, mind you sometimes your pals would catch you when you left the school grounds.

Like you , I knew of quite a few people and friends who died of Cancer including my boss from work who died 2 years ago she was only 49. died of a blood infection during the time she was receiving chemotherpy for breast Cancer. it was an awful time she died in the November 2007 and her daughter was married the following August 2008, it was a hard time for all the family as you can imagine.

WOW!!!! just looked up and it's pouring down with rain really really heavy.

I dreaded having the bumps as there was always someone a bit too enthusiastic and rough. If only they could see me now ,they would make excuses NOT to give me the bumps lol

Jane I have the same problem with chinese food there's always to much food in a single portion. unfortunatly everyone in my family likes different dishes so we cannot share. always end up throwing some of it out. mind you if there's any boiled rice left and daughter no 2 is home she will have it for breakfast the next morning.
BB tomorrow

I'm catching up too Lorraine, all the thousands of spiders webs that I can see!!!!!!,and the dust.It does feel much more comfortable now.
I think maybe I went to bed too soon after that Indian last night. It was delicious and mine was very mild.
Just waiting for the next black cloud to drop the rain !!

It looks like it may be brightening up now.I won't hold my breath though.Have had some rumbles of thunder a little earlier so the dog got a bit crazy but has gone to sleep at last !!!
Have to take my son to possibly have 2 wisdom teeth whipped out tomorrow afternoon. Not sure if will have it done tomorrow or if it will be xrays and things.I am only going so that if he does have them done he probably won't feel like driving.
I had all mine taken out in hospital under general ,the week after my honeymoon.I really looked like a hamster for about 10 days LOL
(have I already said that before?) I just had a touch of de ja vu.!!!!!!!!!
I apologise if I am repeating myself. It really is my age now you know lol

Morning Ladies,
I hope Fiona enjoys her shopping. No shopping for me today.I always say that and then think of something that I REALLY need lol.
I hope to pick the first Dwarf beans from the garden today.I was going to do it yesterday but it was too wet. This year we haven't grown courgettes. We normally end up with too many of them.I think the first peas are just about ready too.
Must get on so BBL.

Lorraine ,I do remember the name House Party but don't think I watched it.Maybe my Mum did.
Just picked the beans and quite a lot of peas that are now podded.I just love them straight from the pod.

Just getting sorted to go to Corby to this Minor Oral Surgery Unit with my son.I didn't even know the place existed.
Back later today.

Hello ladies, sorry not been on for a while.

Yes I remember House Party, my nan used to watch it, she loved it. I was still at school as I'd be about 14 or 15 I guess.

Jane you're the medical one, I still have the odd twinge in my back but yesterday evening I dosed off on the chair watching telly and I woke with a sharp pain in my lower lert hand side of my stomach down near my hip area. It woke me in the night a couple of times and I had my bowels open ok this morning and the pain has become less sharp like...what do you think...also Lorraine as you're both wifes of GP's I was going to go to the doctors if it persissted, but as I say it's seems slightly better now....wonder what it was.

Anyway enough of my winging, hope you're all ok.

Pam.

PS If I press the area where the pain is, it hurts, a sort of dull achey/sharp pain..............what do you think????

Hi Ladies
Back from shopping and banking, town was really busy full of harrassed mums and grans with kids trying to keep them occupied during the school holidays, I remember when I had to trail my two daughters around the shops, always wanting drinks, food, sweets, toys. biteing each others heads off.
Sometimes one of our local primary schools re-open at the last week of July & the first week of August and puts on fun activities for the kids, (only for kids who go to that school) crafts, book stalls, plays etc all run by the parent helpers if they can get them,
It's agreat idea if the mums are willing to give up there time and work in shifts.
