Mo in Kent Report 19 Jul 2012 18:49

Ann, my neighbour at the back of us, is not a gardener at all. She leaves her garden to go to rack and ruin, then once a year, she gets a man in to clear the weeds.
Well, she has a lovely shrub at the bottom of her garden, but the bind weed is choking it to death, and the the bloomin weed is starting to invade the bottom of our garden again now. It creeps under the fence, and tries wrapping itself around my honey suckle and lavender, I am forever pulling it out, and trying to get the roots out.
I pour loads of weed killer under the fence, and it does keep it under control for a while.
Once, Roly took the fence panel out, and we poured the weed killer over them, but she's a bit of a nutter, and screams and shouts at invisable people, so we are reluctant to remove the panel to often.
All our neighbours call her mad meg (no offence meant to any megs on here) and crikey she's as barmy as they come.

Sorry this started by my reading about you tidying your garden. lol
Love Mo

Morning all , wet and miserable again so what new....
not much news , it seems everything is on a go slow , we need sunshine ....started doing some christmas cards , and also did some cleaning....mini spring clean J did upstairs and I did down, got a fair bit done , but we were both tired afterwards, it felt good to be able to do it , seems strange saying that, but every achievment is worthy of praise for us, after the nightmare year....still all done and dusted so onwards and upwards....
Sylvia, I laughed at the title you have given the little one , we have a littlie next door who is just liked that, love having her but glad when its hometime.....lol....
Huia, you are made of stearner stuff than me ,I would have run a mile...
Mo did you get through to Sallie, I do wonder how she is. hope all is well....
Caz pm sent , Linda, how is the knitting , I have been asked to make a shawl for the baby, but I am no good at that, dolls no problem anything bigger and with a pattern is no go , so I will buy them one....
well folks love to everyone I have missed , hope the sun comes soon....take care....

MO she would love too lol.

well ive had some disturbing news, i telephoned a number i have to speak to the cardio vascular nurse, i asked him weather the AHI attacks i was having was it hourley or nightly, and i was still waking holding my breath, he was rather shocked and asked if i could see him today so in a min we are of to the princess royal, it appears i may have central sleep apneo, although he cannot just diagnose over the phone, im really worried , because this may mean the difference between fostering my FD brother even though specky and FD IS Ook , they were talking about letting him come and his sister being his main carer , i hope not, but understand qwhy, he is a lad and at a very difficult age.

anyway hope your all ok xxxx
huia are you murdering today , hope your pests at least decline in numbers, im afraid id be living up a tree your very brave, i squeal at a slug. x :-0

Thank goodness things were not quite as bad as you thought Lorraine.
Cor you do go to your bed early, how do you manage to get to sleep when it's so light outside. We would be eating our dinner, as you were going to your bed. lol

Sylvia, you must enjoy your time with littlie while you can, this place, in fact the internet comes a good last where my family are concerned. So have fun love.

Jean my lickle lovely. I have not had a reply from Sallie, so now I am beggining to get really worried.
She has not said she is going away on holiday, so I can only assume that things did not go as planned with the therapist, and that the black dog has got hold of her again, bless her.
Looks like we may be great grandparents again next year as well. Just waiting for confirmation.

I have a lovely photo of baby Lilly on my F.B page, she's with the local Olympic torch bearer near her home. What a lovely memento for when she grows up.

Have a lovely weekend girls, take care one and all. Love Mo xxx

Lorraine, no point taking refuge up a tree as possums live in trees usually and rats can climb them too, as I have seen rats running along the branch of a tree that used to be outside our window. :-0

Hello girls,
Just to let you know that I have heard from Sallie. She is o.k, but having a wee break from posting as much.
Sometimes it is hard to know what to post, when nothing much has happened during the day.
But I do like to know that everyone is going along nicely, so I come on here and pester the life out of you all. lol ;-)

Huia, if a rat wants to get in, it will wont it, no matter what you do to try and keep it out.
We still wont leave our patio doors open, unless we are sitting right by them, after our last visitation from the little blighters. ooh they make my blood run cold.

It's been a glorious day here today, I have sat in the garden under the parasol, reading my book, glorious.
Lets just hope it lasts for a few days at least.

Going to get a nice bath now, and sit and relax for the evening.
Bye everyone. Love and hugs Mo xxx

Huia all i can say is your very brave, do you live in the country side ?, the only tree rats i see are squirrels but they are nice.

Mo yep i need 12 hours roughly to do stall for 7 hours it really takes it out of me but i enjoy it and people are enjoying my bracelets which is nice for me, and we have our regulars too, to have a chat too.
The cpap is helping too although i still wake in pain if ive slept through without pain killers i still feel less foggy and can concentrate better.

sallie hope you will feel better soon xx

Hello everyone hope your enjoying the sun, sadly i cant enjoy it the heat and sun react differently and makes me feel worse, i like bright cool days or a bit warm. xx :-D

Huia

Huia Report 21 Jul 2012 23:46

Lorraine, yes I live in the country. Possums and rats have been known to raid bird nests in our 'bush' and eat the eggs or young chicks. That is not good for our rare species of birds, such as the kokako which nests in our hills. This is why a programme is in place setting poison baits for rats and possums throughout the bush.

Huia.

ps, when we talk of the bush, you would call it forest.

JustJean

JustJean Report 22 Jul 2012 12:23

Huia, having seen where you live forest is definatly the description, and remote too....but very beautiful...
how is your Phil doing these days also your littlie?
we had our two mum and dad to-be here yesterday so excited and planning what to buy and giving hints as to what we can buy...lol... cant believe how much baby stuff costs these days , £600 + for a pram no second hand ones will do...still they never thought it would happen so good luck to them...
Mo, how come you have time to sit in the sun , with all the redecorating you usually plan to do...and poor Roly
having to get his own cuppas too...tsk.... bit selfish i think.... :-P what are they going to do to Lily next , hope they sort it soon... how is the rest of the family doing?
btw are you coming up norf for the lights this year?it wont be long before they are switched on.....
we are looking to get some weekend s away in if the weather is good, just to put us on till we go in september... glad to here our Sallie is o.k. I know what she means about no news to write about, perhaps she will start doing her cards .... I am slowing down with my cardmaking , we want to have some trips out while we are able just locally and not too far from home... but it will be a nice change...
Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the sun...
so off to get the lunch sorted see you all later take care , love Jean xxx

Jean honey, the decorating is on the back boiler at the moment. In other words, I really can't be bothered with it.
Apart from that, since we had the plastering done throughout downstairs, it seems to be staying cleaner.
Fortunately with having just painted walls, I can wipe them down if they get grubby.
Roly has forgotten how to make tea my love, I firmly believe his bum is stuck to his armchair lately.
He has lost about a stone and a half in weight, but goodness alone knows how.
He decided to go for a walk last week, and as soon as he got out the front door, it chucked it down with rain. lol
Our neighbours know that if he's going out for some exercise, not to put their washing out.
At the moment we have no plans to go up north, but who knows, if we win a lot of money we may go for a fortnight. ( fat chance of that ) It would be cheaper to go away to the sun, and if I could sprout wings, thats exactly what I would do. ;-)
Tomorrow Lilly is to see the paediatrician,to get the results of her tests. I dont suppose there will be any answers anyway.
I am just hoping that she outgrows her problems.
I do know what you mean about the expense of buying for a new baby these days.
I just dont know how my grandaughter is going to cope, on her own. We certainly can't afford to buy her a brand new pram, but will help her anyway we can.
And guess what Jean, I have just come in from the garden again. No sunburn for me thank goodness.
My parasol gets moved as the sun moves. I should be going brown from all the fresh air, but I am still lily white lol
Going to have a lovely cuppa now, so I will say bye bye for now.
Love and hugs everyone. Mo xxx

Good evening everyone, how are we this beautiful sunny day.
I have been down at my daughters, doing her garden for her. Bless her she has got rheumatoid arthritus, and can't bend very well. Plus she has got what the doctor now tells us, an upper respiratory tract infection, the doc is keeping a close eye open, in case it turns to pneumonia.
Boy oh boy, was it hot out there. I kept my cottton blouse on, as I didn't want to get burnt. But my face, good grief, I look like a jolly clown, with bright red patches on my cheeks, all I need now is the red nose to go with it, and I could join the circus.
I have just got out off the bath, after a long soak, uhmmm wonderful.
Heres hoping you are all well, as it has been very quiet on here for a couple of days now.
Take care everyone, and remember to slap the sun screen on.

Yesterday I went to Hamilton for a funeral. As it didnt start until 1.30 I first went to my granddaughter's to have my lunch and use the little room after my long drive. My gt grandson is crawling quite well now, and apparently he pulled himself up to his feet the other day when his dad was outside, and looked out the window at him. It wouldnt surprise me if he is walking in 3 or 4 months. His gran was walking at 11 months and I think his mum was also an early walker.

I am working in the shop this afternoon for somebody else so I must get on with other things. See you all later.

Good grief Huia, how old was Tui Mary Bettany when she married. She certainly doesn't look very old, and the fashion is surely not that of 1723, she looks very smart.
Your G.Grandson certainly seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds.

I am wondering where everyone has got to, as it's been very quiet on here lately.
I hope you are all well.
Take care, love and hugs Mo xxx

Huia Report 26 Jul 2012 20:30

Mo, there are about 200 trees in Ancestry who have Tui m to John Downing b 1723. Most of the trees have her b in Ireland (wrong) and quite a few have decided she was b 1725 and died 1815 in Auckland NZ. They also have her (and my) dad correctly named with correct y.o.b. 1899, so he was born after she died! They also have correct name of our mother, but b in Massacheusetts in 1908 instead of Hamilton NZ in 1900. They also have our grandparents and gt grandparents, most with the correct names, (one incorrect surname), some with wrong p.o.b., but all b in the 19th century, well after Tui was allegedly b and married. Yanks are such an innummerate bunch, or at least the ones who have this junk in their trees.

Hello Mo, im having a bit of a quiet weekend, FD. has gone to see her mother and brother, i hope it goes ok but i don't think it will, but we will be at the station and pick the pieces up, she is such a lovely young thing.

Does anyone know if its common for young teenage girls to be very lethargic, ive taken her for a blood test but that was fine, she basically goes to college home eat then sleeps, ive booked another appointment see what doctor says, but the nurse did say her teenager is the same, i expect changing circumstances don't help.

well i hope its a little cooler tomorrow cant cope with this heat, and ive gone and got my appetite back since ive been using my cpap machine. xx
