Oooh Ann, I am feeling your pain love. Having an extraction can upset the nerves in the rest of the mouth can't it. It's like when someone loses a limb, they still feel as if it's still there, till the body adjusts to the pains. I hope it settles soon for you.

Good to have you back Sylv's. How was things up at the cabin, all quiet I hope. Did your OH finish the jobs he wanted to get done.?

Right, can anyone suggest how to get rid of the creases out of this flippin wedding dress, apart from steaming it.
I have had it hanging from my curtain track for days now, but leaving the curtains shut so that the sun does not bleach the dress.
It is draped over a chair as well, in hopes that the creases would drop out, but to no avail.
I know the bride would incur some creases, when she sits in the car going to the ceremony, but she is going to looks like a wrinkled prune at this rate. lol

Talk to you later this evening girls. Love Mo xxx

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 28 Aug 2012 14:30

Mo have you tried hanging it in the bathroom when somebody has a shower, the steam may help the creases to drop out. Why is it so creased, have I missed that bit.

Mouth gradually returning to normal although still sore. injections have more or less worn off now. (3 hours).

Hi girls, just a quick message for now. Jean thanks for posting about our anniversay and for your good wishes to us.

Ann, Sylvia and Lorraine also thank you to you all for your anniversary wishes.

Sylvia, glad to know that you and OH have arrived home safely from your trip to the cabin.

Mo, have you managed to get the creases out of S's wedding dress.yet. Sorry I can't suggest anything more other what Ann has already said.
Hope you'll have some success get them out.

Well I must go and prepare the dinner ready for later this evening. We are taking Jennie to her hospital appointment by 5.20 p.m.to see her Consultant....she'll get the results of her Colonoscopy, MRI scan and blood tests today, so will know if she has to have to go back on the treatment that she had a few years ago. She is going to come back to have dinner with us as Michael won't be home from work until about 11.30 p.m.

Speak to you all later on.

Take care.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Hi Jean, we got back late from the hospital, the clinic was running 45mins. late. Anyway Jennie's Consultant was pleased with the results of the tests and as long her next blood test is OK she won't have to have the treatment......but if and when she starts having a problem she will have to start on the treatment straight away. So, we are all are all happy about that.

Sorry to hear that Caz isn't very well, I hope that she'll feel better after she has finished her treatment.

Thinking about you Caz and sending you lots of hugs and positive thoughts. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Sallie the more you make the more you will want to expand into making other sorts so don't worry about it. And shop cards are fine.

Puss, it is not long since you had an operation, when will you learn to slow down and rest? Seriously, hope you get better soon.

Wow, just looking at how many posts you have all made. I had been pleased that I would soon reach the 5000 mark. Only 97 to go after I post this one. I just hope I can get at least 5000 sponsors at $1 each to go hairless for hospice at the end of this month. :-)

Edit: OK, only 95 after this one as I had posted twice. I deleted one but it still counted. I wonder if the edit counts? :-S

Jean, I am hoping to get some photos of me being shorn by the boss at the end of the month. Possibly also a video. I will put them on FB but as you are not on there I will send you some by email. I might even put one up as my avatar! I have my first sponsor. My son's friend, who has met me and is on FB said she could never go hairless. I dared her, and said if she didnt accept then she would have to be my first sponsor. She will give the money to my son to bring up (as they both live in Rotorua). I hope to be asking around town for more sponsors.

Mo in Kent Report 4 Sep 2012 21:20

Hello girls,
How are you all?
Sorry to have been on the missing list, since before the wedding.
The ceremony was absolutely lovely, the bride and groom made a handsome couple, and the bridesmaids were as pretty as a picture.
But, at the reception, all hell broke lose, between three of my grandaughters, and two of my daughters.
Suffice to say, that I ended up hitting one of my daughters round her face to calm her down.
Now I feel terrible, as I know that I shouldn't have hit her, but I am NOT going to be spoken to like something she had walked in on the bottom of her shoes.
We have always treated all our children wih respect, and expect it in return.
Now we have a big rift in our family. Our son and his wife were devastated because it ruined their day, they are not blaming myself, but the grandchildren for starting it, and my daughters for continuing it.
But at the moment, I have two daughters who are not talking to me, one son who is trying to be a mediator, and a husband who was treated like poo by the said daughter who I slapped.
The bride and groom are on honeymoon with little Lilly, and away from it all.
So girls, forgive me if I sound down in the dumps, but that is just how I am feeling at the moment.

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Prayers and special thoughts for Caz. Take care honey.

Oh Mo how sad for you and your son and his wife to have their day spoilt. Are the granddaughters normally volatile like that or was drink involved? Nothing worse than family rows is there? Can you see a way to sort it out? Have there been rifts before?

Anyway I am pleased the ceremony went off well. I hope that things can get sorted for you all.
