Phew!!
....I did wonder...... :-D

Allan

Allan Report 29 May 2018 22:23

The front is still cold :-|

Half our monthly average of rain fell in one day (last Friday). A BBQ in a local rural setting had to be cancelled and more heavy rain expected this coming weekend :-0

Fortunately I have my supply of wine :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 29 May 2018 22:55

On the plus side no hosepipe ban for a few days at least Allan. :-)

By supply of wine how many crates??

Allan

Allan Report 29 May 2018 23:01

Oh, Caroline, the delicious irony of your first sentence...sprinkler bans come into force tomorrow :-D :-D :-D

We are already on restricted watering days depending on your house number. That is why I dug up the back lawn some time ago and put gravel down in the front garden.

I don't do wine by the crate, although I do have about three dozen bottles; I buy by the five litre cask....very upmarket ;-) :-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 29 May 2018 23:05

Ohh hark at you all posh now....

Are you serious about the water wow!

Allan

Allan Report 29 May 2018 23:16

The water, yes. Restrictions and bans have been in place for a number of years now and even if you have your own bore you still have to comply.

Many new houses are being built with systems that recycle the 'grey water' for garden use ie only waste from toilets goes into the sewer.

As usual, people in Perth use the majority of fresh water on their gardens, but the rest of the State's population carries the can :-|

Kathryn

Kathryn Report 30 May 2018 11:52

You can have my water if you want Allan, it's piddling it down here :-(

Allan

Allan Report 30 May 2018 22:22

No, but thanks for the offer, Kathryn :-D :-D

More rain expected over the next few days, but as winter officially starts tomorrow I can't really complain.

Time to get a few more logs chopped :-D :-D

Kathryn

Kathryn Report 30 May 2018 23:17

Chop , chop up and at it :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 30 May 2018 23:21

Don't rush him...let him think it's his idea....force labour as if...

Allan

Allan Report 30 May 2018 23:29

Hang on! I wasn't suggesting that I do it :-|

That's woman's work together with taking the washing down to the local river. While the washing is soaking in the pool OH can chop some wood :-P :-P

Sheesh!

:-D :-D :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 31 May 2018 11:14

and you will meanwhile be doing......???

:-D :-D

Kathryn

Kathryn Report 31 May 2018 17:35

Some surfing probably either the sea or the net! ;-)

Caroline

Caroline Report 31 May 2018 17:59

:-D :-D

Allan

Allan Report 31 May 2018 22:08

Honestly! You women!

I can't go surfing in the sea while OH is doing the washing and wood-chopping...who else will row the boat? :-P

And as for surfing the net, we are now self-sufficient in electricity generation, but only when OH is back on the hamster wheel, she can't be in two places at once.

You really know nothing of life in Australia :-|

Although I feel sure that if ever RtR were to read this thread he could give a four page précis of his take on it and why everyone else, including Australians, know nothing :-D :-D :-D

Allan

Allan Report 31 May 2018 23:19

Because he can't Google more than one site at a time :-D :-D
