Hi All Hope everyone is well. It is a very cool 9 degrees here today, bet that made you feel better lol. Sad news on the miners missing in the mine at Beaconsfield, they have located one body, and dont hold up much hope for the other 2, but who knows, sometimes miracles happen. I am going to Dannielles School assembly today as she has been elected as one of the leaders for 2006. They are having a ceremony and badge presentation. they announced the leaders just before they broke up for Easter so she has been waiting all holidays to get her badge. Gee making a red head, firey, tries to be boss, a job of being a leader, dont know what they are letting themselves in for lol. Tony hope things sort themselves out with the daughter. Wotcha, Wattlers, just dropping by to keep my licence valid. You all seem to be rattling on as fast as ever, it always looks like a big family affair over there (if it's not too sensitive a subject, Tony). That is the state with my dil, always phoning about her husband, our son... she won't moan about him to her own parents, cos they wouldn't understand! And one holiday with our daughter and her newish husband was almost a blood-bath... but she's grown up a lot- and the guy's long gone. Pity, he was fun! Michael

Afternoon all and its another nice day here.. Afternoon Wattlers, The air around my suburb is smoky at present as they are doing a burn-off. At least they have learnt from the bushfires and they do it on a regular basis now. Mary - yes another weekend off - think that's my lot for hols for a while tho. Sorry you can't make it - maybe I will catch up with you somewhere else. Trifley - your husband doesn't have a Grace Yeo amongst his names does he? My Brook family came from Devon and Grace was my gtgtgrandfather's first wife. She died in 1835. William remarried and had 2 more children. One of Grace's sons William came to SA around 1849 and eventually settled in Woodchester, near Strathalbyn. Lara - hope the weather is nice your way - nights should be a bit warmer than ours. Hope you're able to have a bit of a relax before we all descend on you. Mike - nice to see you drop in again. How's things in your neck of the woods? OH spent a week in Ottawa last year and hopes to get back there in June - really loved it although got lost in Arundel Mills Mall cos it was sooo huuuuge. Well I don't know what was going on here yesterday - but I couldn't get in this site - but I could answer personal messages from here - which was weird - nevermind - looks like it's fixed now whatever the problem was. Hiya Sandra thankyou for the welcome - amazing how many people know this part of Wales isn't it?? :0) I know Denbigh & Rhyl area very well it's not too far from here. The Great Orme is about 10 minutes drive away from where I live - one of my favourite places around there is the Happy Valley that looks out towards the sea from the clifftops there - great picnic area on a sunny day :0) If I get locked out again - have a lovely weekend everyone - I shall try to look in here regular see what you are all up to!! Afternoon Waffling Wattlers Gwenda.....I've just pm'd you with some of Graeme's Yeo details. I've been sitting here at the puta reading your posts when I heard a great cacpohony outside the window. All the small birds which live on that side of the house were kicking up a storm. The noise was amazing. I looked out the window to see what the matter was and spied the culprit. It was a large bird about the size of a cockatoo but I couldn't recognise it. Out came the trusty bird book and the only thing I could find which looked like it was a Black Kite. No wonder the blue wrens, wag-tails and pee wees' were going berserk. It took off after a while followed by the pee wees' & waggies........a formidable group when they all get together. The cat.....asleep on the chair near the window..and the dog...asleep under the desk.....were undisturbed. I've booked my hotel room for the Brissie meet. I'm staying at Rydges just accross from Southbank on the Friday & Saturday nights. I have a twin room (2 single beds) so if anyone wants to doss down for the night.......just pm me. Oh..........by the way.......I'm told I snore. But I can't believe it. No Queen of the Nile could possibly snore! G'day Michael......nice to meet you. Hi everyone :-) I was reading this thread catching up with you all when my daughter, Jess, arrives back about 8:35 (she's supposed to be at school by 8:30). Turns out the school bus hadn't turned up. Phoned school to let them know she would be late and it turns out that the bus had been withdrawn due to some idiot writing graffiti on it. So had to phone taxi to get her there, just hope they sort something out as it's an awkward place to get to, you need 2 buses if travelling by public transport. Ah well another sunny day today............have got the morning off but I'm in college this afternoon for psychology (there was a mix up on the timetable so it's changed am now doing psychology Thurs pm instead of Mon am). Shazz from Sydney it usually takes around six hrs to get here so with stopping for lunch you should be here around 1 or 2 o'clock if leaving at 6am did you see my message re the resturant at the club where we will be its called Diggers at Club Mulwala which is the old RSL same place new name we should be out of the show and dinner by 10pm I would think so we'll see you then ok.
